It was relieving to see her slide into the seat like she owned it, instead of the lost way he usually forced himself to look over the controls, usually being too overwhelmed to do much of anything but the most basic of operations. Blaine had been a natural, but DM looked like she was already flying the ship in her head without haven't even taken off in it once.
"Good to hear," Sol replied. "My basic and mostly failed training can only fly a ship so far. I need someone who will treat her like she deserves." He leaned against the wall. "I only wish I had a bigger crew. I thought they were behind us on this thing, but one by one they got scared off by the reality of Cassandra's... predicament. Either that or... well, I don't know." Probably best not to get into Magdalen, he decided.
