Chase was wandering back to his house in a pair of dark shorts with the eInkr Terence had left behind clipped to the back and carrying a dead rabbit by the ears. He was glad he was able to finally get the alarm setting turned off and get a good nights sleep. He actually had energy when he woke up so he had gone out and caught a snack for himself.
He kept the eInkr on him for a few reasons. He could check to get updates from Terence and keep it safe from anyone who was interested in it. There were quite a few who seemed like they wanted to see how it worked and he wasn't about to trust them with it out of his sight. So he thought it was safer to just keep it on him.
He hated the shorts he was wearing, but lived in an area that was too close to the spaceport. He had to wear something, the humans complained too much about it being weird. It wasn't until he got into his house that he'd wander with nothing on. But until he got inside he'd have to suck it up and wear some form of coverage.

Crys snuck along behind Chase, watching his every move. She couldn't get too close or he would smell her, so she did her best to keep him just barely in sight. If he wasn't yet totally alert, he wouldn't catch her scent as long as she stayed this far away and she wasn't upwind in comparison to him.
He had that darn human communicator on him. She wanted it, and she wanted it bad. It piqued her curiosity in so many ways, but mostly she wanted it because she just knew that Terence had given it to him, and they must talk with each other through it. That clearly meant that she needed it.
When he finally wandered into a patch of the forest with a clearer path, she made her move, dashing towards him quickly. Just before she knew she was at a distance where he could smell her, she jumped, tackling him.
"Ha ha!! I got you!!"

He kept walking and had caught a sudden all to familiar scent. By the time he realized and was able to look he ended up finding himself on the ground. "Why the hell?!" he growled knowing full well who it was.
He pushed her off of himself and stood up trying to keep his rabbit out of the dirt. Pointing at her he added, "You. You need to stop following me... I don't know when he's coming back!" At least not an exact date, more of an approximate. But she doesn't need to know that. "All I know, is that last time I heard anything. He was on Terra. That blasted human planet. Now please..." He started to walk away, "Let me enjoy my snack before it spoils..."
He kind of guessed she was after the eInkr. She'd probably seen him use it and wants to harass Terence with it. The poor guy... No wonder he left Nox... Even though he started to walk away he was still awaiting a bombardment of questions demanding answers and other creepy things like the weird stalker she was.

"Awww come on!" she pouted from her spot on the forest floor. She gave him her best set of puppy dog eyes as she possibly could. "Maybe I just wanted to see you?" Maybe. Chase was nice to look at. But no, she was Terence's girl and he totally wouldn't want her flirting with other guys. Duh.
She got to her feet, dusting herself off. "So hey... can I borrow that... thingy? You can talk to people with it, right?" Oh please oh please oh please oh pleaaase say yes!!

He glanced back at her then turned away with a laugh "Bull shit you wanted to see me." It was a shame she was crazy, it kind of counteracted the fact that she was very attractive. She was like a leech, latched on to someone and sucked the sanity out of them. In this case it was Chase's best friend Terence.
He unclipped the eInkr from his shorts and waved it by his head. "You mean this thingy?" He grinned, "Not a chance sweet heart, not a chance." He re clipped it to his shorts. If Terence was here, I wouldn't be stuck with this...

"I did want to see you," Crys insisted, hands on her hips. "I don't tackle people I don't want to see, silly." Hmmm. She wondered whether it would be a totally bad thing to flirt if it meant getting a hold of Terence. Probably not. Terence would understand. He was probably totally missing her.
She took a few steps towards Chase, smiling as sweetly as she could muster. "Ya know, breakfast is better when shared..." She was hungry after all. They would probably have to catch something bigger, though. A rabbit was small for a jaguar alone, let alone her joining him. Maybe she could steal the rabbit if he found bigger prey? Hmm...

"Only wanted to see me for this human thing. Trust me, I know what you're up to." He was tempted to give it to her just to see what Terence would do. But figured that would only tick him off so he restrained from giving into his mischievous thought.
Ohh now she wants my rabbit does she? Maybe if he gave her the rabbit she'd leave him alone for a bit. It wasn't too hard to find, he could find something else if he had to. It would just be a matter of hiding the device until he could catch something else. After all he had no where to put it if in his animal form and then risked her finding and running off with it. I could lock it, not that she really knew how to work the thing anyway... But locking it would keep her from figuring it out.
He made a small grin and fiddled with the eInkr. Heh...

She watched him play with the device in curiosity. Was Terence on the other end of it? She had to know. "What are you doing? Are you talking to him again?? Give it to me!!"
She leaped for the device, snatching it out of his hands and taking off with it. Crys tore through the trees as fast as she could, hugging the thing tightly to her. She had no idea if Chase was following her, but if he was she knew he was fast and could probably catch her easily.

Chase made a small flinch as she grabbed the eInkr and almost ran after her but stopped himself. He didn't have to worry, he locked it. She'd eventually get frustrated with the thing and bring it back. He made a sigh of relief, she was gone for a bit.
He made his way back home to finally eat his snack. Peace at last... He relaxed and enjoyed his rabbit alone.

When she realized he wasn't chasing after her, she slowed to a halt, feeling almost slightly disappointed. But she quickly brushed that feeling off when she sat herself down, proud of her new accomplishment. Leaning up against a tree, she took one look at the screen of the device and decided to get on to quickly figuring it out.
She touched the screen, like she'd seen Chase do. It lit up and provided her with some options. She touched one, but a new message popped up.
LOCKED: Please enter password.
She frowned. Password? She looked at the letters to type in words, and then started spelling out T-E-R-E-N-C-E.
LOCKED: Please enter password.
She screamed in frustration and threw the padd to the ground. "CHASE!!!"

As he finished off the rabbit he could just picture Crystal in her frustration and couldn't help but laugh to himself. He cleaned up the area he had skinned the rabbit and tossed any remains and went to have a quick shower. He wandered his house a bit and got bored. There wasn't a whole lot to do anymore that he hadn't done a million times before.
He pulled on a pair of pants and decided to wander the spaceport to see what was going on. Maybe something new could keep him busy. As much as he didn't want to leave Nox he had found the option appealing once or twice in the last few days. It would help cure his boredom at least.
