As it turned out, those running the landing pad at the spaceport were more than okay with the offer of Sol's help, not really requiring much else other than Caden making sure the shuttle was okay. Clearly they were relieved to have it back. Sol was pretty sure he heard one of them mumble something about saving them a lot of paperwork.
They'd given him some things to do the next day--mostly some stuff around one of the warehouses--and so he was spending the evening resting just a little ways from the off ramp to Adeala. When one spends time on Terra, and then 3 days cooped up in a spaceship, the last thing they want to do is spend more time on said space ship. Especially when the evening air of Antheia was so wonderful.
So he'd pulled a couple of crates off to the side of the ramp to use as a chair, which he was leaning back on as he scanned his eInkr, hoping for some listings somewhere in the galaxy where he could get his crew some real paid work. So far, nothing was available.
He sighed and glanced up at the stars. The same old reliable stars. It was strange how they really didn't change one bit, but still felt so different to look at while standing on a planet, versus flying amongst them.

Just as Magdalen expected, Solomon had opted to remain with his ship while the rest of the crew wandered off to take advantage of the change of scenery. He appeared to be distracted with something, but otherwise looked as though he wasn’t busy. Deciding this would be the best time to introduce her new companion, the blonde motioned for Reese to follow and made her approach towards the Adeala.
“Solomon, I hope I’m not catching you at a bad time or anything. But I have someone I’d like you to meet!”
It hadn’t taken very long for her and Reese to arrive at the spaceport from where they’d started at the edge of the forest. The conversation had moved along at its own pace, and she hadn’t felt pressured to answer anything. ‘Comfortable’ was the best way she could think to describe it really. And she had a feeling Solomon would like him as well.
“This is Reese. We met just outside of the spaceport and got to talking a little bit. Seems like he’s in need of a room. I thought I should bring him to you first of course. I hope that’s alright?”

Sol pulled his gaze away from the sky as he heard his name, realizing Magdalen was approaching, followed by another guy. He stood up with interest. Maybe Magdalen had found them some work?
His name was Reese, he noted as Magdalen explained. Sol stuck out his hand, offering a shake towards the blonde fellow. "Nice to meet you, Reese. ...Looking for a room? Oh, are you seeking passage on a ship? We've certainly got a few rooms open. However, right now I'm not sure when we're leaving the planet. I hope that's not a problem..."

"It's nice to meet you too." He smiled and shook the mans hand, "I am, yes, anything you have would be great. Oh it's not a problem for not leaving right away." He would be willing to wait if it meant a more peaceful ride. He looked over what he could see of the ship and could tell it seemed well kept. That was a good sign, his only concern was getting along with any crew aboard.
"I guess I don't really have a set destination. I'd just like to see different planets and life." He stated, "Oh and money won't be a problem, I've got enough to pay for as long as I need."

Sol smirked a little. "Well, good to hear, since we have yet to set our next course anyway." This meant another source of small income for an undetermined time. Definitely a plus side, Sol realized. On the other hand, that meant it still didn't help them with a destination.
"You won't be the only lack-of-final-destination passenger on board," Sol replied, in reference to Cassandra. He was pretty sure she was still hiding out in her room. "So that's fine. My name is Solomon, by the way."

Magdalen smiled as the two men introduced themselves, deciding to take a step off to the side and let them conduct their business between captain and passenger. She’d done her part bringing Reese to Solomon, and everything seemed to be going smoothly. At least Reese didn’t seem bothered by the fact that they weren’t leaving for a few days, or about where they were headed next.
At least the time they spent on Antheia would be enough for them to give both of these things more thought.

"Great," He smiled. Everything seemed to be working out well so far. While on Antheia he'd managed to not kill himself with being overly clumsy, not staying lost and seemed to have found a ride he was pretty sure he'd be comfortable in. He felt good, and all that was left now was really just to see the actual inside of the ship. But he didn't want to ask right away to try and avoid any bad impressions involving a pushy personality. Not that they would assume that, but better safe than sorry right? He was also curious as to who else was on the ship. But that too could wait a bit.
He found himself looking the ship over again. Something about it just seemed perfect, and he couldn't really figure it out. After all he didn't know a lot about ships, he focused on life, animals to be more specific.

"I'm afraid non of the other crew is here right now, save for the other passenger, but she's not that chatty. Most of them are still out exploring, or visiting family," Sol explained, thinking about Olive. He'd told her to stay there a few days and that they would come to visit her. She didn't need to waste all of her time on Antheia spending it on the ship, if she was going to end up living in it long term.
"But," he continued. "I can show you the ship if you'd like...?"

Feeling more like a nuisance now than someone of any help, Magdalen held out a hand in an attempt to get the men’s attention.
“Solomon, if you don’t need anything from me now I think I’ll go and see if I can find a few of the others. Someone has to make sure they aren’t getting into any trouble. I’ll be back soon.”
And with a reassuring look at Reese, the blonde ventured off in search of her comrades.

"Oh that's alright," He stated. It would give him some time to see things before having to worry about other peoples opinions right away. When Solomon offered to show him around the ship he jumped at the opportunity and said, "Sure, I'd love to."
He was a bit upset to see Magdalen leave but hid it well. He understood what she meant by getting into trouble. Anyone, if unfamiliar with a new planet, could easily get into trouble. They could miss understand new laws and many other things.

"Alright come on," Sol waved him to follow him onto the ship. He quickly pointed out the cargo bay, and then directed them into the main part of the ship. "Down there is the common room. Kitchen, lounge area, etc. You can find a screen around the corner that you can view from the couches, if you want to watch anything from The Network." He pointed down another hallway. "Crew Quarters are that way, so it's preferred that you stay out of there."
The pointed the opposite direction and started walking down there. "Passenger dorms are down here. You can choose either of the middle two rooms for your stay. The ones on either end are currently taken. The showers are right here, and they're used by everyone on the ship. There are only 3 stalls, and showers are 5 minutes long to conserve water, so time your showers smartly," he smirked.
"And, well, that's about it for now," Sol nodded. "If you don't mind me asking, what is it you do? Just like exploring the system or is there a job involved?"

Reese followed Sol around, taking mental notes of specific information. The layout was pretty simple and rather straight forward. The passenger quarters were actually quite nice. Either of the two rooms would be fine, they seemed to be pretty much the same. But he'd most likely take the one to the right. Showers wouldn't be a problem, he was good with short showers.
"Oh, I'm a zoologist," Reese stated, "I study animals. So the traveling helps me find new species and animals to uh, well, study." He smiled. Some people thought it was a stupid job, but he didn't care, he liked it.

Sol couldn't help but feel overwhelmingly relieved at this news. Finally, someone with a respectable line of work. Hopefully no shady past. He was feeling like he was building a crew full of misfits that might get him into trouble later on--intentionally or unintentionally.
"Sounds interesting," Sol replied truthfully. "I admit I haven't been to many of the other planets yet, so I'm definitely interested in exploring them. That's part of the reason I've picked up this ship. Your presence might be handy in helping us learn a lot as we go."

"Well that's good," feeling better knowing that his presence wouldn't be completely useless. "If you ever need any info, I'd be happy to share what I know." He smiled happily.
He had a thought, which made him curious about something. "Are meals done with everyone on board?" It would be a quick way to see and talk to everyone at once. A meal conversation can sometimes reveal things, which was a bit weird to think about but it was true. He also was curious because he wasn't a huge fan of eating alone, something about just having a little company was just over all better.

"Meals have been all over the past few days, to be honest," Sol admitted. "We had supper together the first night, but with everyone doing their own thing, and no real cook to speak of on board, it's been a lot of... experimenting."
He couldn't help but laugh a little bit, thinking about the breakfast he'd walked into the other day, seemingly normal, only to have Booker and Olive tell him about the cooking adventures of the morning. He'd been a little unimpressed that the entire hunk of meat he'd managed to get his hands on had been virtually used up in one meal, mostly for one person, but the whole situation had been funny enough for him to let it slide. He'd pick up some more meat before the left Antheia. Maybe some deer...
"Anyway, there's often at least two people eating together at general meal times," he continued. "We might be in space where there's no true night or day, but we all still have internal clocks telling us when we're hungry after all."
