describe full personality = Hippolyte is very much a man, or horse, of science. He has dedicated his entire life to researching the stars and has enjoyed every second of it. He is also physically strong, like all of his race, but hates to use it. He much prefers to reason and talk things out. Unfortunately, this has caused him to hate violence in all its forms, and will go out of his way to avoid it, even to the cost of his own happiness and/or well being. He makes for a very good crewmen because of this, he'll never talk back or argue with an order. He's always up for a good scientific debate as well, and enjoys the companionship of any race, though he's never actually had a conversation with a vampire.[/size][/ul]
so the story begins...
Hippolyte was born in the very same month that Humans first came the Antheia. Some saw it as a sign he'd in some way have a life involved with humans. This turned out to be true. As he grew up, Hippolyte delved into the sciences of space and became fascinated with it, as many Centaurs are. However, Hippolyte actually succeeded in getting off planet at the age of sixteen. His destination was Terra. Once he landed, he applied to the Terran Main University. Because Centaurs were rarely seen on Terra at the time, he was accepted on that fact alone. However, he proved that he was much more then another minority statistic. He was a brilliant astrophysicist. Not anywhere near the best, but he was extremely talented in it.
At the age of twenty, he graduated with a bachelors degree in astrophysics and a minor in piloting. With this, he could have joined any lab and gotten a job right off the bat. Instead, he stayed in school and continued his research and learning in astrophysics. For another three years he stayed at the university, and even taught a few beginning classes in his final year.
Finally, after seven long years of school, he decided to leave the university and find a job. Honestly, it was really easy. He found a research lab on Terra that focuses on ship development, anything from stellar sensory systems all the way to more efficient hatch seals. However, this job wasn't what he thought it would be. Majority of his time was spent processing data from the various probes the lab has in orbit and around other planets. He spent very little of his time actually in space, the one thing he wanted more then anything else. So, he has put out a public message in The Network seeking a piloting job. In the mean time, he still works at the lab.

Hippolyte was galloping through the meadows, enjoying the feel of the wind in his hair. It was one of the few joys he had that kept him on a planet. Otherwise, he'd have been flying through the heavens, never to touch land again. But things like food, water and other people kept him rooted on the closest planet, though only barely. Actually, his current travels were bringing him to the human spaceport. Right now, he was on vacation from the research lab he works on visiting his family back on Antheia. The visit, however, was over. He needed to make it to the spaceport in time for his departure flight.
As the spaceport came into view, Hippolyte sped up. He enjoyed the flights to and from the planets just as much as he loved seeing his family again. This flight, in particular though, was special. He was being allowed to pilot the shuttle back to Terra. Normally, no one would volunteer for that. The stresses of take off and landing were monumental. However, Hippolyte enjoyed it. To command a vessel that can not only fly through a planets atmosphere but also to the stars themselves was the one joy he held above all other things.
Finally at the spaceport, his hoof falls now a loud clatter on the metal floor, Hippolyte slowed down to a slow trot. "Yes," he thought as he passed the windows that showed the area the ships were docked, spotting the shuttle he was going to pilot, "I will be able to break away from the planet and fly with the stars."
