Hi there! So since I have no idea how else to go about this, I was wondering whether anyone would be willing to help me get Geneva's storyline going? I'd try and implement it into the roleplay a bit more subtly, however I think it'd be a bit difficult considering the characters she is able to interact with at this point are limited.
I can provide you with some background information if that helps!
Geneva is a politician's daughter and has recently received various threats due to her father's involvement in the unstable relations between the people of the Top and the Bottom. Due to this, her parents have decided it would be best for her to find a way off of Terra secretly until the hype dies down and there is no longer chance of a potential kidnapping.
Should I post a private transmission from Geneva's father to someone he might know through his work contacts? Or simply wait until a character hears rumors of a large sum of credits being offered to take a certain passenger (aka Geneva)?
Thanks guys!

Well, my ship is far from Terra at the moment and the people I've got on Terra are sticking around there, so I'm not sure I can help you with getting off the planet via any of my characters at the moment. I suppose you could make-up a ship that could get her to where you wanna go (I mean, it's not like there's only 5 ships in the entire galaxy right? ) and just imply she's gone from point A to point B with a time line jump. Or we could come up with a plot for her on Terra until one of our ships is nearby. The latter might be the better option since it might be a while before ships move locations. We've been moving quite slow at moving the time line along (like... week 4 is supposed to be over, yet I'm not even sure any of our threads have reached it!). Do you think she would hide somewhere until she could get a ride?

Hm, the first idea sounds like it would be far more convenient, however I have a feeling it'd still be difficult to force interaction with other active characters that way.
So I suppose I could have her hide somewhere on Terra for awhile, until someone that could possibly help her winds up there. And I'm sure there's the possibility she'd run into some of your characters in the meantime.
Yeah, that sounds plausible.

As far as Terra goes, I've got a bartender dude in the Inbetween, and a sneaky vampire that's been moving back and forth between the Below and the Top. Anyone he meets for any length of time generally ends up dead though, unless keeping them alive serves him better in the long run, so I'm not sure how well she would fare with him, haha.
Unless there's something there in connection to Titus (Kayle's character), who Eli doesn't have plans to kill. If Titus (an assassin) wanted her alive, then she'd probably stay safe from both of them... *ponder ponder*

Hm. Well it'd be relatively easy to come up with some way for your bartender character to cross paths with Geneva. Perhaps they offer her shelter or rather, a place to stay until she can find a way off the planet. Either because they have some kind of connection with her parents or it could be in exchange for money.
As for this assassin and vampire .. the only reason I could think for anyone like that to want to keep Geneva alive would be to use her as a bargaining chip. Considering she's worth quite a lot, that's a possibility. Unless they'd need to gain access to some of the information/restricted areas only members of the government are privy to? She might be of use that way as well.
You probably have more interesting ideas though. Haha.

Maybe Kayle has some ideas too. Right now Alex (the bartender) is being harassed by her hacker character. That might be of some use, maybe.

Hm, should I wait for Kayle and hear what she has to say then? Or just post with Geneva somewhere in the In Between looking for a temporary place to stay and see who arrives?

Yeah let's see what she has to say.
Also, Alex and SYN+ACK are currently out in public right now, currently playing a game of "can you hack info on this person?" (LOL), so if Geneva were to be milling in the crowd and Alex picked her out... you never know what might happen! Don't know if that's something she'd be doing, being recognizable in public and all, but it's a possibility to get her involved right away!

Okay, sounds good.
Ooh! And that sounds like a perfect opportunity actually. Should I go ahead and stick Geneva in there then? And I'm sure she'd try and disguise herself to a degree. Possibly with a hood or something of the sort.

If you want to do that, sure! We can always figure out where to go from there, whether or not she gets tangled up with them or something.

Iiiii am a bit of a jerk who actually didn't check this all week. WHOOPS. anyway, having Geneva show up around Alex and SYN+ACK works perfectly! I'll go do something with that!
The other characters I've got lurking on Terra are Titus, Persephone and Leif (and Regan). Titus is an assassin and lately he's started to show more of an interest in who he's ordered to kill and why. He could either by an ally or an enemy, depending on if he's been ordered after her or if he's just intrested in trying to find another useful person to add to his growing list of contacts.
Persephone is an artist, and it could be that she and Geneva have encountered each other at high culture events before, and Persephone could try to help indirectly (but not directly since it would be too obvious to search Persephone's place for Geneva).
Leif's a detective down in the Below. I'm not sure if he could be much help at all, but he does know Alex. As for Regan, he's mostly a sleezy type character who's trying to pay off gambling debts and he's sort of desperate, so he's always good if you need someone to recognize her and have a chase sequence.

Hm, well most of your characters could have a very plausible reason for knowing/recognizing and interacting with Geneva.
Titus would be the most interesting, considering he poses the greatest threat to her safety. Perhaps he was one of the individuals who was issued the order of killing her should her father not be willing to comply with the anarchist's demands? However she disappears shortly thereafter and it's Titus' job to find her before she makes it off of Terra? If he does in fact find her, he could decide to capture her and hold her hostage thinking he'll be paid more for turning her in alive?
It's completely up to you. You know his personality and method of thinking better than I do after all.
As for Persephone, I can see her being concerned about Geneva and warning her about going off on her own when she knows how much danger she's in. Otherwise .. she probably wouldn't be involved too directly in the situation. Lief I don't see being involved too much either, unless Alex spills the fact that he saw her out in public without an escort. Lief would probably know the situation with Geneva and her family and attempt to return her to her home.
The thing with Regan sounds fun too! Haha. I can't decide.

Titus probably wouldn’t hold her hostage and ask for more money. He’s not a greed assassin, he’s a professional, and that means that haggling over the price happens before he even agrees to the contract. That being said, there’s another reason he’d like to keep her alive: return investment. Titus has been slowly ‘collecting’ people, people who have the potential to be important one day. Right now, the status quo on Terra is completely messed up. He’s an assassin, working for the man who most likely killed his parents, and now Titus finds himself tasked with those same assassinations, ordered to kill people who are good and decent, but are standing in the way of other people’s progress.
With Geneva, he may see a powerful ally. She’s a singer now, but a singer from a very politically powerful group, and even more than that, she has the potential to be a powerful politician. That’s somebody that would be well-worth keeping alive in exchange for future favours. So that could be something to consider, if it works for you (and if you’d like your character to get involved in the politics arc).
Basically, if you want her on-world, Titus is a good person to go with. But if you need a reason to drive her off-world, Regan is the perfect catalyst to send her down to the docks and force her to hide on-board a ship to escape.
