Obviously, once it was revealed that he was a vampire, things stopped running smoothly with the Were girl. It was abundantly clear for the plan to work that he couldn't use any of his usual methods. Needing her willing, he begrudgingly went the route of treating her with immediate hospitality and an as genuine-as-possible promise that if she went with the plan, he wouldn't kill her, and she would be paid more handsomely than she could imagine. Somehow, she agreed; likely due to the fact that he still kept her locked in a room, whether he was with her or not.
Of course, in order to follow through on the payment promise, Eli spent his off time taking out his pent-up hunger and frustration on other poor unsuspecting souls who looked like they had money to spare. This arrangement seemed to work out quite well, as he gathered enough money to pay her, and managed to balance out meals and using the Were for his other needs without biting her.
Well. There was the one time in the middle that he slipped up, and he paid for when he ended up vomiting for an entire day, while the Were girl smoked in the corner and made fun of him for having such a dumb weakness. He likely would have responded with something smart or scathing had he not had his head in a toilet. Of course, finding someone who would do more damage to him if he bit them than he could do to them was the whole point anyway. Granted if bitten, Titus would probably do quite amount of harm in self defence, but the whole point of it was to avoid biting him. In the long run, biting the Were girl was probably what he needed anyway. After all, with a poisoning fresh in his mind once more, it was enough to make him hesitate at biting anyone, even if for just a moment.
When he needed to sleep, he did it in another location as secure as he could find. While she was willing to go along with his plan at the promise of a large sum of money, it didn't mean that he trusted her not to stake him while he slept.
Once he felt that it was significantly easier to avoid biting a partner, he decided to let the girl go as per his promise. Of course he had further plans, but he first decided to fulfill the promise by sending her off with a bag full of credits and a warning that he would be watching, and if she were to tell anyone of his presence, he would definitely change his mind about killing her. For now, the handsome payment had satisfied her enough to agree.
The test subject out of his hair for now, Eli did some freshening up as well as he could in the garbage dump of an apartment he was residing in, changing into the newest stolen suit in his small but growing collection. Then, he headed for the Top once more.
This time, he understood and pressed the "door bell" (really it was odd that the Humans continued to call it that when there was no actual bell involved), and then leaned by the door frame, waiting for Titus to answer.

Titus was in the middle of washing up the dinner plates when he heard the doorbell ring. He wasn’t expecting company, and the sound immediately put him on edge. Of course, it wasn’t an assassin, no assassin would bother ringing the door of another assassin’s home. But that didn’t mean that it couldn’t be dangerous. After all, Digeo had paid an unnecessary visit not too long ago.
He handed the last dish to Skye to dry, “I’ll get that,” and left her to finish up. It seemed that Skye was much happier if Titus allowed her to have some role in the house besides that of artist. So, while he had continued to insist on cooking for her, he had begun to allow her to perform some minor chores. It was perhaps useless to have her tidy when Titus hired a maid to do those things, but it seemed to give Skye some manner of control over her life, and Titus understood the need for control.
Titus peeked through the built-in camera to see who was there, and smiled when he saw Eli leaning against the door. He unlocked it and opened it up, greeting the lounging vampire, “Good evening.”

Eli immediately grinned as the door opened. "Hello."
He pushed off the wall and brushed past Titus, into the apartment. He'd forgotten how enjoyable it was to simply walk into a home without a proper invitation. It'd been so long since he'd visited anyone who wasn't another vampire more than once. Usually, anyone else was dead before he had cause to come to their home a second time. Apparently, he needed to make more "friends".
He surveyed the room, and then noted the teenager's presence in the kitchen for future reference. It wasn't like he was expecting that anything in the room had changed, but it never hurt to check. He turned back to face Titus, focusing back on the reason he'd stopped by. "I have a job for you."

Titus answered with a subtle smile of his own, noting that Elijah must have fed quite recently because he seemed to be able to brush right by Titus without flying into a bloodlust. He let the door fall closed and turned to watch Elijah as Elijah inspected the room.
However, of all the things he expected to hear from Eli, offering him a job was one he had not quite expected. Titus raised an eyebrow, wondering what it could be. Titus had a number of skills, and quite a few jobs that he could perform, but he had a feeling that Elijah was directly referring to his current job and his rather... unique skill set, “I’m listening.”

"There's a Were-Girl in the Below," Eli began to explain. He decided not to go into too much detail, for the sake of the deal. "She said she was... a bearcat, or something. It was like this giant black raccoon. Anyway, I've had her... occupied over the past week. Trying to solve our little problem, so to speak." He pointed at his teeth and then motioned to his neck, and then headed closer towards Titus once more.
"When I let her go, I promised her two things as long as she kept her run-in with me secret: I wouldn't kill her, and I would pay her the money I owed her for her services, as per her chosen 'profession',"--here he made quotation marks in the air with his fingers--"And I followed through with those promises. But now we have a problem, you see. She knows of my presence on the planet, knowing full well what I am, and she now has all the money I have accumulated since landing on Terra. And sooner or later, she's going to get over her fear of me and realize those two things give her power."

The doorbell startled Skye slightly, and she was glad she hadn't been holding a plate at that moment. She took the one Titus handed to her now however, and began to dry it, watching nervously as Titus approached the door. She saw Titus smile and felt herself relax, but soon tensed again as Elijah stepped over the threshold. This was the first time she'd seen him since, well, since she'd found out the truth. Titus trusted him, which made her feel safe enough not to flee the room in terror, but it was still rather frightening knowing she was only feet from a vampire. From a killer. Then again, she lived with a killer, but somehow Titus was different, even if she wasn't quite why.
At the same time however, Skye found herself feeling intensely curious. She had never met a vampire before. Well, she had met Elijah before, but she hadn't known he was a vampire then. The documentaries on the Network hadn't told her much about vampires, except that they were dangerous, which was rather obvious.

Titus nodded, feeling a quiet thrill run up his spine. So Elijah had been working on a solution as well, “I have a suggestion as well but… we can save that for later,” He quietly dismissed it, focusing instead on the were-girl. It was simply a poor choice to leave her alive, and Titus could have not agreed any more with Elijah’s suggested path. For both of their sakes, she had to be dispatched, and quickly.
“The solution is an obvious one. Do you have an address where I may find her, or a general area to look in?” He didn’t ask for a photo, knowing that it likely wouldn’t have occurred to Elijah to take one. The vampire was quite uncomfortable with technology at the current moment, and it would take him a while to learn to use things to their full potential. But if Titus knew where to start looking, that was much easier. The Guild had full access to all of Terra’s databases, including the Were registry. It wasn’t a guarantee she would be in there, but it was always a good place to start. People associated with their own kind, and if he couldn’t find this girl, he could certainly find her friends, “Any identifying information would be most helpful.”

"She works the streets of an area near where we met, almost near some sort of market-like area. A brunette. Long curly hair, with a tattoo up her right leg." Eli was glad to hear that Titus was was already on board with the plan. It meant he didn't even need to make any sort of deal with him, even if he still planned to.
"I would take her out myself, but she'll be on guard for me, as she was for the past week. If she expects anyone is going to attack her now, it'll be me she'll be keeping an eye out for. And you still understand the territorial rules of the planet better anyway. You can make it look less... suspicious." It was up to Titus to decide what approach worked for him.
"Plus..." he smiled, hooking his finger around Titus' shirt. "If you pull this off for me, I'll explain exactly why I needed a Were for my experiment. And, maybe we'll test it out and see if our little 'problem' can be remedied..."

Titus noted Elijah's words and commited them to memory. The tattoo would be particularly useful information while seeking this woman. It was likely she would be on guard for Elijah, but not for a well dressed Topper slumming it. To her, it would seem like her lucky day, right up until he slit her throat.
"I can think of a few ways to deal with her," Titus agreed, and leant in just a little when Elijah's fingers hooked in his shirt, "I look forward to seeing your solution. I have managed to... come up with a few suggestions of my own, to be disclosed later."
It would have been easy to fall into his usual flirtatious habits, but he was aware that Skye was watching, and that she had not seen this side of Titus before. Titus the psychopath, Titus the broken, Titus the stotic, but not yet Titus the seductor. He backed it off, composing himself once again, "I'll need to make arrangements for Skye while I'm gone. I would... rather not leave her alone."
Skye was having a better week than usual, but he still felt reluctant to leave her by herself. The good weeks were often marked by a sudden and usually unforseen meltdown over something. Occasionally the root cause was obvious. Other times, it took Titus some puzzling to discover what it was this time: a smell, a tone of voice, a certain string of words. He did his best to shield her from the worst of her triggers, but there was still the occasional unexpected trouble. Better that she be left with someone to comfort her than to be left utterly alone.

Eli couldn't help but feel a little smug as Titus's professional face fell for a moment to something a little more flirtatious. He always enjoyed watching people's defenses weaken in front of him. Ciaran had always been impressively better at it, maybe even unexplainably supernatural about it, even for a vampire, but Eli had learned well regardless.
But as Titus glanced at the teen lingering in the kitchen, he quickly went back to his more usual rigid state. Eli couldn't help but shift his gaze in Skye's direction, feeling irritated at her intruding presence.
Then again, maybe it was time to learn more about Titus' so-called "circle". His eyes narrowed in thought for a moment, before glancing back at Titus. "I could watch her..."

It was hard to follow Elijah and Titus' conversation, but Skye understood at the very least what it meant. Titus was going to the Below. Although she knew logically that Titus could more than handle most of the characters he might run into, emotionally she couldn't help associating the Below with danger, destruction, and even death. It was both a literal and metaphorical abyss. She was afriad he would dissapear into it and never return. She tried to catch Titus' eye, maybe she could convince him not to go, though that wasn't likely.
But Titus' eyes were locked with Elijah's. Skye stared at them both, and at the desplay of unfamiliar emotion she saw rippling between them. She had never seen that expression on Titus' face before, or on anyones. It made her feel strange. Somehow, she sensed that whatever this feeling was, it made Titus happy. And by default, that made her happy. Yet there was something eerily familiar about the desire in his face, almost a need... But then it was gone.
It lingered on Elijah's face as he turned to look at her, mixed with a frustation that made her back away a few steps. His next words made her feel even more uncomfortable. She knew Titus trusted Elijah, and that should have been enough, but he was a vampire after all... Still, Titus was smart, and she couldn't imagine he'd ever be tricked, even by someone like Elijah. If Titus decided to leave her with him, Skye wouldn't argue. But it still didn't mean she trusted the vampire.
