Eli stood out on the balcony, watching the horizon with great interest. Just out of his line of sight was the forest... it teemed with Weres. Fast and agile, they were the perfect match for a vampire. He snarled at the thought. It made him angry that the gods had designed such perfect prey and then made them poison. He supposed it was a perfect defense... the vampires had hunted out the last original humans on the planet a thousand years ago. The Weres would have been next had they not been given that beautiful, horrible blood running through their veins.
Eli had accidentally bit a Were before. He still blamed the were. How was he to know it wasn't a real raccoon. Who the hell wants to turn into a raccoon in the first place? It's blood had been sweet, intoxicating--he licked his lips at the mere thought of it--but that small taste had made him severely ill for weeks. He would have been dead if he'd swallowed even a drop more of it.
A light flitted through the sky, followed by an echoing roar. Another human ship landing in the forest. Eli gripped the balcony's rails, wanting so badly to tear across the fields and investigate. They were probably trading with the Weres again.
Or bringing another shipment of pre-drawn blood, he thought angrily. He couldn't believe the state of his fellow vampires. They were so eager to get blood they were willing to take it in any form. Eli hated it. They were being hand-fed like children. Hand-fed cold, dead byproducts of a scared Human race, using blood trades to keep the vampires sated and gain profit at the same time.
He wasn't fond of being used by humans.
It was supposed to be the other way around.

Benjamin heard a human ship land somewhere nearby. He was instantly intrigued. He walked out onto the balcony. Eli was already there. He did not like Eli very much. He spent too much time worrying about his appearance and wore to much make up. Sure, Ben liked to wear fancier clothing at times but he never went to the extent that Eli did.
"Humans." Ben grumbled. He noticed where the ship had landed in the forest in the distance. There were Weres all over the forest. They must be doing trades. The humans were clever in ways of tricking the weak minded. They profit off of blood that the Weres and Vampires craved for. Ben preferred to get it from his prey that he hunted down and killed himself.
He'd rather run over there and kill everyone. Then steal the ship and attempt to fly it to other planets and seek endless amounts of blood. That was not a good idea though. The humans had found out weaknesses in the Vampires over the years and Would eventually hunt him down. The humans on that ship probably have defenses against Vamps. So staying put was the only thing he could do. For now.

"Makes me sick," Eli spat out upon hearing Ben's voice behind him. He turned away from watching the far off forest to glance at the older Vampire. "They're feeding us out of their palms, like we depend on them or something. It's insulting."
Okay, so maybe they did depend on the humans a little. But the humans shouldn't be capitalizing on it. They should be fearing it.
He hopped up to have a seat on the railing and began picking at his nails. "You know, I've heard all sorts of things about their world. They're so full, it's why they had to start running over other planets. Just think... that many humans and they still cry foul when one goes missing because we're hungry. How fair is that, huh?"

Ben listened but didn't respond. He agreed with Eli, that's for sure. With such a populated planet, you'd think they'd prefer if they'd loose a couple of them. He definitely wished the Vampire population was smaller. That way he'd get more food to himself.
Ben didn't talk that much. He usually says a simple sentence that just get's his point across. Unless he was torturing someone. It was then that talking was fun. Using words to inflict pain and make his victim more angry and aggravated. It was after the taunting that he'd do physical damage. That was even more fun. Hearing them scream.

Genevieve came out of her room and headed to join the two males out on the balcony. She could tell what was up by the looks on their faces. "Keep those jaws closed boys... I can practically smell your drool from my room," she snarled. She was hungry and moody.
"Who's up for finding a new toy? If no one else comes, you don't get to play with what I bring back..." she asked with a grin. She wanted another Were-person to keep her mind off her hunger, the small one she kept in her room couldn't take as much as she'd like. And she loved to hunt the big ones for fun when frustrated.
"I know I can say I miss the lion boy from a few years ago..." She pouted, "None of the new ones have been as much fun..."

"New toy?" Eli's face brightened up into a cheeky grin. "Have you worn out the one you've got already? You're losing your touch, Vieve." He hopped off the railing and stretched a little. "I'm up for a run. What are you thinking? East side of the forest tonight?"
He wandered over to where Genevieve was standing. Lion boy. Oh, he remembered him fondly. "Mmmm... Lion boy. Now he was a catch. How on earth did that gem get away from you anyway?"

"Blasted human was a little unexpected and managed to free him while I was busy..." She hated that Captain, what human would risk entering a Vampire home to rescue a were-person? The question now is how did he succeed? It frustrated Genevieve to this very day on how it happened. One day, she'd find him again...
"When I find him again, you'll be the first to know Eli," She smirked and turned to the door. "Now, what size are we aiming for tonight?"

"Hmmm. Was someone sleeping on the job? Eh? Eh?" Eli nudged Ben a little, smirking. He glanced back at Genevieve. "Oh goody. I never did get a turn at playing with him, and he certainly seemed like he would have been a squirmer." He shook his head, chuckling. "It's soooo easy to intimidate those big manly ones. All you need are a few... well placed hands..." he grinned, fangs glinting in the moonlight.
He followed Genevieve towards the door. "Let's see what we come across. I could go for anything tonight as long as I can get a good chase out of it first."

Ben remembered when Genevieve had the were-lion captive. It disappointed him greatly when he learned that he got away. He never got a chance to torture that were. He grinned while looking at Genevieve when Eli nudged him. Then he rolled his eyes at Eli for what he said about 'well placed hands.'
Ben was up for some hunting. He was extremely hungry and very bored. He followed the two to the door. "Let's hunt."

If she had a choice in the matter the lion would be in her room as her pet and not that depressing little lynx. Lions were bigger, softer, but also so much stronger which made her play a little more interesting when they tried to fight back.
"Alright boys, The woods it is. Try and aim big. Gender doesn't matter, just go with what catches your eye." She started to walk back into the house to grab better shoes. Heels, plus a hunt? not a good combination. She needed her boots. Still stylish but much more practical for running in sometimes unpredictable woods.

Eli was excited now. He was hungry and antsy and a hunt was exactly what he needed to stave off boredom. Well, as long as they could find someone exciting, that is. He was going to be pretty disappointed if all they could find were the little ones.
"Oh, you know gender doesn't matter to me," Eli grinned. He glanced over at Ben, who was probably ready to squirm as well. All brawn and violence, Ben wasn't into the kind of prey teasing Eli was into. He knew another eye roll was coming, and he waited for it with a sly expression across his face. Most of the Vampires had specific preferences, so sometimes Eli's lack of gender preference tended to make them equally as uncomfortable as it might a Human. He didn't mind. That only made it more fun!

Ben wanted to kill. He was itching to rip something apart. Usually he liked hunting the helpless ones with nothing to defend themselves but today, Ben was looking for a challenging prey. Something he could get a good work out with before killing. Someone he could fight.
Eli made another annoying comment. He could tell Eli was waiting for another reaction so he just pretended like he didn't hear him. Ignoring it was better than giving him the satisfaction of knowing he was bothering him. He loved to see Ben squirm after an uncomfortable comment such as the last one he made. His strange behavior was irritating but he didn't let it get to him. Not now, not when he was getting ready for fun.
"Hurry up with you're fiking boots Vieve, I want to feed!" He was fed up with the others constantly worrying about appearance. No one cared if you were attractive when you were ripping their heart out.

"Well excuse me for wanting to be able to run without breaking my ankle," She snarled as she came back to the two male vampires. Men, when will they learn? She passed them and stopped at the railing of the balcony and added, "Just try and keep up," With a grin she hopped over the railing of the second story balcony.
Landing partially on one knee to take in some of the blow she quickly got to her feet and started to run for the woods.

Eli let out an infectious laugh. "Come on, Woman, you know it hurts to be beautiful," he teased. He knew she certainly had a point, though. He was happy he was already wearing a pair of boots that he was fairly fond of for running in. He'd have to scrub the mud off them later again, but it was a small price to pay for a good hunt.
He paused as she leaped off the balcony. He lifted an eyebrow, glancing at Ben. "Damn showoff, she is." He strutted to the balcony's edge and peered over for a moment before shrugging and then, in one swift movement, he proceeded to jump, kick his legs up over the rail, and drop himself down to ground level with a soft, calculated landing. He quickly hurried after Genevieve, knowing Ben wouldn't hesitate to follow close behind.

Ben returned a dirty look back at Genevieve. She wouldn't have to break her legs in high heels if she didn't worry about wearing high heels in the first place. Ben thought high heels were pointless. If anything, they did more harm than good. Not practical.
He nodded in agreement at Eli. She definitely was a show off at times. He was too though. More often then not. He watched Eli jump down. Kind of a girly jump. More girly that Genevieve's. He didn't care for show. He just leaped over and landed hard on both feet with a loud thud.
He began to sprint in the direction that the other Vampires ran in.
