Alright, so this is mostly in regards to Magdalen but I'm sure - if I decide to go through with the idea - it'll end up affecting the Adeala too.
I mentioned to Sarah when I initially joined that Magdalen ended up exiled on Antheia due to the actions of her brother Regan, who is slowly becoming something of a high-profile criminal. He and Mags fled Terra after he was witnessed comitting a murder and uttering threats, as well as stealing and assaulting a Council member. Magdalen was dragged into the whole mess just by being seen with him and panicked, acting as a stowaway on the first ship she could find.
So basically there's a bounty on her head as the authorities believe she is an accessory to a crime and she wants to settle things with this brother of hers once and for all. Trouble is she suffers from amnesia and isn't sure exactly what went down. But when it comes back to her, she intends to find Regan and set things straight.
Would anyone be interested in playing him at all? And do you think he should maybe be involved in the Adeala's mission/journey - even if it's indirectly? He'd probably act as an antagonist of sorts .. using Magdalen has a hostage or using her to get on board, something along those lines. Suggestions?

Antagonists are always great, especially those related to characters. What sort of criminal would Regan be? More into betting/loan sharking/illegal races, or violent crimes, or a jack-of-all-trades type?

So Grace will indirectly lead Regan to know about Magdalen's whereabouts, he'll try to board the Adeala and harass his sister, Cass will step in and scare him off where he'll head back and run into Weasel. From there, he'll begin his career as a high profile hit-man, or at least the manager of a group of assassins, and make a second attempt at kidnapping Magdalen.
Her fiance may come into the picture if he's the one Regan owes all this money to. Through Regan and her fiance's interactions, the man will discover that Magdalen is his sister and order Regan not to kill her .. but bring her back to him in one piece for a very hefty reward. That will endanger the crew of the Adeala and stir up a bit of drama.
She'd also have regained most of her memory by then.

I'm not sure how I feel about the managing the assassins bit, mostly because I'm not sure exactly what he would be doing. The bounties are publicly posted, and since he's not affiliated with the government, he wouldn't be one of the people receiving the bounties ahead of time, thus giving a reason for bounty hunters to want to deal with him. He could eventually get into a position where he's constantly using the services of a few assassins/bounty hunters to get what he wants (ie Magdalen) but I'm having a hard time thinking of a reason of how he gets into that state right off the bat.
What sort of stuff would cause Regan to owe the fiancé money? We could build from that, figure out what Regan's doing right now to repay the debt (ie is he on Terra working in the Below, is he working on a ship, or maybe the Underworld?). Then he finds out where Magdelen is and decides to get her back to give to the fiancé since he figures he'll wipe out the debt he owes the fiancé, and then when he tries, Cass messes it all up, which only makes Regan even more sure that he's got to get Magdalen so he can fix everything.
