First nights in unfamiliar places never sat well with Caden. He had tossed and turned not being able to properly sleep. He finally gave up and wandered into the cargo bay grumbling. He recalled this being the only place he could sit and smoke. He lit a cigarette to try and relax a bit. Hopefully the next night will be more successful in the whole sleep situation.
He stood in just a pair of loose fitted pants he had been trying to sleep in and smoked quietly. He figured he was by himself, considering the time it was so he wouldn't really have to worry about being hassled for smoking. After all, this was the okay area Solomon had given him. He knew he'd have to try and quit eventually, but cutting it cold would just end up bad for everyone.
Wonder what kinda trouble Enan got himself into with that woman... His mind started to wander to different topics. He was alone to think, but didn't really mind it much.

Magdalen had remained on the sofa in the common area, listening to the hushed voices of Nick and Solomon as they discussed things in the cockpit. It was incredibly relaxing, just to lounge there in silence as the ship glided smoothly along its designated course. Flying wasn’t so bad, considering her first experience had ended with a crash landing on an alien planet. That little detail had come back to her consciousness only recently and she involuntarily brought one hand to her rib cage where she still bore a vicious looking scar. In all honestly, she was surprised she hadn’t passed out or even died from blood loss.
Allowing her thoughts to wander, it wasn’t until she picked up on the faint scent of cigarette smoke that her attention returned to the Adeala itself. Who was the crew member that smoked again? Caden. Booker didn’t appreciate it, but there had been an area that Solomon had allowed the bad habit to be restricted to.
Lifting herself from her seat, the blonde peered down the ladder into the cargo bay and carefully began descending from the ladder. Caden was someone else who hadn’t been particularly talkative, so perhaps this was her opportunity to get to know him better. Spotting the man standing a few feet away, Magdalen smiled and tilted her head.
“So they shoved you down here, did they?” she asked with a laugh. “Out of Booker’s sight. Which was probably a good idea, really.”

Caden paused, raised an eyebrow and glanced to the ladder coming down into the cargo bay. A small smile crept onto his face a the comment that was made. "For personal safety reasons," he replied with a small laugh and turned to look at Magdalen. "You're up early, not a good space sleeper?" He took another long puff of the cigarette and blew the smoke out his nose.
Realizing she probably wouldn't want to really be breathing in the smoke, he looked around quickly for a place to put out the cigarette. Best bet would be to just step it out on the floor, but he wasn't sure if Solomon would be good with that. Well that's handy... Way to find an ash tray before you start smoking...
