Adeala plot thread!

Alrighty so far as everyone knows the plan is:

To Antheia to:
-drop off shuttle
-get Olive to properly tell her family she's leaving
-pick up Lousia? (anyone seen Kaya around?)

After that we are plot-less, so any suggestions or ideas can be thrown around here for the step after that! job ideas, character interaction, planets to visit for one reason or another, etc...

I'd like to see Cass getting coaxed out of her shell and somehow inadvertently revealing exactly how much of her is robotic (the lulziest option would be to have Booker try get a hand on Cass, maybe trying to calm her down or something, and end up with her knocking him over). And since she's got the bounty on her head, we can always cause some trouble that way with her getting recognized or having Sprung or other nefarious men come after her.

Weasel could somehow find out about the whole roboticness and be more interested with trying to find her... and go after Adeala.

Haha, the Booker suggestion totally made me laugh! Magdalen would be more than a little shocked I think, assuming she should be gentle with the girl when she can pull a stunt like that.

Anyway I was hoping to incorporate Regan - Magdalen's brother - into this somehow. Whether he sneaks aboard the ship or uses Mags herself as blackmail/a tool of sorts. He's not about to repent for his sins anytime soon so you can bet an encounter with him would be less than pleasant. Also I haven't decided whether he has become something of a high-profile criminal or is still involved in aggressive behaviour and petty thievery.

Yeeess. Getting Weasel involved will be fantastic. And I keep giggling at the mental image of how utterly shocked Booker would be.

What if he's been on the Underworld and owes someone a lot of money? He tries to find anybody who'll get him some money and (somehow) finds out Mag is on the ship? He shows up, planning on just shaking her down for some cash, and maybe that's how Cass ends up showing her limbs off publicly. Regan can make a get-away, get back to the Underworld and make a deal with Weasel, since the prosthetics alone are worth a fortune and could easily cover his debt? Weasel takes the job because Cass is now a challenge, and Regan escalates from petty thievery to something more dangerous. Then Mag could start remembering snippets of what happened and bam! character development!

They're going to bond so much over them. He'll probably end up having Cass hang around the engine room all the time, since she loves all things mechanical

Alright... any new thoughts on later adventures? Job ideas we could find so they have reasons to go to other planets... even stuff that could happen on Antheia while they're there?

Reese will have to come into play soon, btw.

And I guess they're not picking up Lousia anymore, since Kaya hasn't returned in almost a month...

I know Cass will be attempting to buy new parts to build limbs out of, and while getting the money, she'll alert the authorites that Cass is somewhere on Antheia, so we could have a dramatic run-in with the authorities.

Ah, I love Blank's idea in regards to Regan! I don't know when or where I'll introduce him .. but I like the idea that his crimes become more notorious through incidents that affect our characters. Perhaps he transcends to something of a hit-man manager or something? Someone who organizes a group of dangerous offenders and is paid a share of money when he sets them out to assassinate etc.

But yeah. Let's have him get into an altercation with Cass over Magdalen and then report back to Weasel. Then deal with it from there. I'll also have to figure out who he owes so much money to. A corrupt politician of the Top perhaps?

Magdalen was engaged to a political figure like that a long time ago. Maybe her fiance is the one making all these shady deals with people like Regan and if he finds out it's Mags' brother he sends him out to hunt for her? That'd cause a lot of grief for the rest of the crew, since it's an authority figure and some of them have been targeted in the past. They'd all be considered obstacles in some way.
