I want at some point to have Unwin have a run in with Paul Enker when he goes back to Terra. :]

Sounds good! What sort of encounter are you thinking of? Accidental run-in on the street?

Pretty much. :3 I'm wondering if he should be caught and possibly almost tortured for the whereabouts of the research (which he keeps very well hidden in the Underworld hotel room he stays in), but eventually escapes? Maybe?

That can be done! We can even have Cain come in and scare the crap out of Unwin (and then have Enker foul it up and leave a door open for him to escape or something).

Exactly. You never know what a guy like him could be hiding. I mean he's currently trying to up his physical strength. So that could be fun.

I was thinking of having a guy in charge of a Bounty Hunter's Guild or something like that...
Jeremy Irons comes to mind.

hmm... I like the idea, but I'm having a hard time believing bounty hunters would be organized enough to join a guild. They always seem either too erratic or solitary to put up with anybody telling them what they could and could not do.
What about an assassins guild? Since assassins are usually depicted as the professional, well-dressed killers, it would make sense that they would have a guild to coordinate bounties and make sure they don't have multiple members going after a single target (where I can only see massive fights breaking out among bounty-hunters over who gets to go after the guy worth $100,000 and who gets the guy worth $1,000).

I like the assassins guild idea. They would be a lot more organized than the bounty hunters, and clearly cost more to hire. While the bounty hunters often just go for the bounties on their own for their own gain, assassins get paid to take people out more professionally.

Exactly. And you could add in a lot of conflict between the two, especially if we have the Terran government limit certain bounties to professional assassins only. There could be a lot of bitterness and even some infighting when a bounty hunter showed up at an assassin's job and tried to take the kill out from under him.

Okay. I got the idea for the bounty hunter's guild from the one in Star Wars. I still think it's a good idea but the assassins guild works too. I can just see Weasel getting pissed when he finds out that some assassins take his kills.

I think the bounty hunter's guild would work better if we had more bounty hunters since it seems to be more of an umbrella term covering a dozen little solitary bounty guilds. As it stands, we've got only a few and I can't see any of them getting along with Weasel. But assassins would give Weasel some good enemies since they wouldn't be able to stand how thuggish and inelegant his methods are, whereas Weasel would probably hate them for being stuffy and getting first crack at the best bounties.

Yeah, that sounds better. It was just a suggestion.
