Solomon had finally gotten over the weirdness of a new eInkr padd. His had broken 15 years earlier and being out of the main loop for awhile had meant that he'd never gotten it replaced. Fifteen years worth of new Network technology was enough to throw anyone's head for a loop.
At any rate, once he'd gotten past the tech issues of it, and figured out how to download the profiles of the men who had stopped by the ship a day earlier seeking a job, he'd gotten right down to business scanning over their backgrounds and other posted information. He'd decided they all seemed like good guys and had managed to contact them to come back the next day to hire them properly.
Now, while he waited for them to show up, he was busy motioning to the driver of a lift who was moving the Antheian shuttle into the cargo bay for him.

Caden had stopped at the bar to talk and drink with a friend. On his way out and going across the ports again he let a cigarette hand from his lips as the thin smoke escaped on it's own. Smoking had been an addiction his brother had tried to get him off, but failed, a few times. He noticed the man he had met before, what was his name...? Ah Solomon. He seemed to be trying to work with someone getting a smaller shuttle inside of his bigger ship. It was hard to tell what was being done from the distance he was at but something didn't seem right.
"Ah... there's a way to kill a shuttle..." He stated as he got a clearer view of the operation. What were they thinking? The way the driver of the lift was going he'd scrape edges of the shuttle and most likely do damage to it's flying ability, and not to mention costing a lot to fix.
He decided to get over there quickly before they caused too much damage. "Hey, whoa stop!" He approached the driver of the lift with his hands in front of him, "What the hell are you thinking? You're gonna scrape the edges going like that!" He didn't seem too old. Not surprising at all. The kid probably wasn't even properly trained or just didn't really care.

((lololol this is too good to pass up...))
"I know, that's what I keep telling him!" Sol threw his hands up in the air in frustration upon hearing the new voice scolding the young lift driver. "Fiking amateur!! Honestly! I know I banged the hell out of it in landing but I still want to fiking get it back in one whole piece. What don't you fiking understand about that, kid??"
He quickly decided he should step away and not watch, lest he let his temper get the better of him again. He took a deep breath and turned to look at the newcomer, praying in the back of his head that the lift driver would just get it done, and properly. He quickly recognized the new man from the conversation the day before. He sure liked to hang out at the docks. Maybe he had a ship nearby??

Solomon was clearly frustrated with the kid as well. "You know what, get out... Let me do it, I've been alive longer than you. I know this stuff like the back of my hand... Skat!" He quickly got the kid out of the lift and re positioned the whole thing.
Caden knew exactly what he was doing and was able to fit the shuttle into the ship like a glove. "you stupid kid, take this lift and go learn something will ya?" He took a large puff of his cigarette and snorted at the kid blowing the smoke out his nose. People like that irritated him. If your gonna get a job, make sure it's something you can do, or have someone who can properly train you. The kid swore at him and took off.
"Sorry... I was on my way home from the bar with a friend and I saw that disaster waiting to happen." He said to Solomon who seemed to still be cooling off after a mini explosion.

"It's alright. You saved me," Sol shook his head, wondering where on Terra they found these kids. Really, he should have been flipping burgers or something. He felt a little bit more cooled off now that the shuttle was nicely in place where he needed it. It was going to be difficult enough returning a slightly banged up, stolen shuttle as it is. He didn't need to explain returning a shuttle that was totally destroyed.
"Thanks," he added, holding out his hand for a shake. "You're that guy from last night, right? You know your stuff... thank God you came along."

"Yeah, I'd hope so," he laughed a bit, "I mean I've only been working on stuff like this for most of my life." He shook Solomon's hand firmly. "Glad to be of some help."
"Where's that shuttle from? If you don't mind me asking. It's not exactly in the best shape, and doesn't really match your bigger ship." the two were clearly not a pair. Anyone could figure that out just by the outward appearance. But Caden noticed the outward engine designs and the functionality of each engine design of the two.

"The shuttle?" Solomon wasn't sure how to explain it. Technically it was stolen. Well, borrowed. He was bringing it back. "Oh, I came in from Antheia on the shuttle. One of the ones they have around the space port there. It's not really made for long distance flight... obviously... you know that, I don't know why I even said it... but anyway, it was just enough to get me between the two planets here." He nodded in agreement at the mention of it's state. "Yeah, it was a bit of a rough landing. Not my forte," he smirked.
He glanced up to scan the roof of the Adeala's cargo bay, inspecting it as if he were still seeing it for the first time. "I just bought the big one." He patted the metal wall of the ship fondly. "Still getting to know her. But hopefully with the right crew, we'll do just fine."

"Yeah, I don't recommend any space travel with that thing," Was he crazy? The shuttles were made for quick planet access like a car not space. The landing must have been rough... The thing looked like it had already taken quite the beating. And that kid with the lift wasn't going to make things any better. "I can see that..." he added quietly.
He crossed his arms and took the cigarette from his mouth. "From the look of things you need to find yourself a mechanic." Oh hay there was one standing right there. "When are you planning on leaving? Because I could take a look at the shuttle a bit better before you leave. Just so you aren't stuck if it decides to stop working on you." Heck if he needed him he'd tag along as part of the crew.

Sol nodded in agreement. A mechanic was definitely needed. "Yeah I still have to track one down. I've got myself a pilot, a medic, and a cook so far. They're actually coming by shortly so I can properly hire them."
"We'll probably ship out tomorrow or the next day. If you wanted to look at the ship, that would be great," he said a little more excited now. "I had some guy check it out before I bought it, but a good thorough run-through before we lifted off would be appreciated. Especially if I can't manage to hire a mechanic before I leave."

"Hey guys!" Booker butted into the conversation. He had just left his apartment to go and see if Sol had accepted him as the medic on the Adeala. He had moved out. His big bag wasn't completely full of stuff because Booker didn't need much. "I'm all ready to go, baby!"
He noticed someone he didn't know beside Sol. "Oh, by the way, I'm Booker!" He invited the fairly small man to shake his hand. "I'm Sol's new medic!"

"If you don't get someone, let me know, I might be able to help," He smiled and heard a deeper voice. Caden put his cigarette back in his mouth, paused and couldn't help but stare. The man was massive. He had to literally look up at him, he wasn't just tall but built like a tank. Jeezis...
"Uhh... Caden..." He took the mans hand to shake. He was a medic? Something was wrong with this picture. He looked more fitted to being a body guard or merc. Someone who could cause some mass destruction. This was just weird...

Was he offering to join? Sol thought this was too good to be true. "Well, you know we could always save some time and me looking, and I could offer you a job right now. What do you think?"
He noticed the huge man from the day before arrive. Ah, the medic. "Hello Booker, thanks for coming back. When the other two arrive, we can all head up to the table and sit down and talk about the plan..."

"I don't see why not, I'd love to," Caden smiled trying not to seem to intimidated by the larger man standing right by. He felt as if he did something even remotely wrong he'd find his head through a steel wall.
He'd love to stick around, after all he recalled from the past conversation, Solomon having military experience. That could be interesting.

Booker's massive smile shrank when he got a good look at Caden. He was smoking. He didn't like that. "Boy!" He yelled as he ripped the cigarette from his mouth. "What you doin' inhalin' this crap! You know it'll kill ya!! I can't work with second-hand smoke just waiting to murder me at any moment I breathe! Boy, I will knock your teeth out if you do not quit with that nasty habit!"
He glared into Caden's eyes for a short time. Then threw the smoke back at him. Then he resumed smiling. Almost like he had forgotten about the out burst he just made.

Caden's whole body flinched as the massive man ripped the cigarette from his mouth. "Jeezis!" He yelped and stared at him completely frozen in fear and confusion. What just happened? A-am I still alive...?Usually he didn't get scared that easily but this man was more than 4 times his size and could crush him with his pinky. Not someone you wanted to mess with, and if he said no smoking. Goodness... There would be no smoking...
