Reese had gone and gathered the things he had in the hotel and headed back to the Adeala. He was hoping to get stuff put away before other members of the crew stopped him to talk while he was carrying his things. Luckily it went smoothly, he only saw the captain. Going into the ship he remembered the way to the passenger side pretty easily. Stepping foot into the room he had chosen he smiled and put his things down. It had a pretty good amount of space and would be great for just sitting back and reading in.
He started putting things away and placed a photograph in a frame by the bed. It was an amusing candid family shot that always made him smile when he saw it. His parents completely horrified at a younger Reese trying to give them a rat he'd found. Being from the top, the rats were rare and when seen people often flipped out. But little Reese didn't seem to mind, it was one of the first actual wild animals he'd seen.
Once everything had been put out, he sat on his bed and pulled out a note book. He liked to keep hard records of things he'd done and the things he'd seen, rather than just have digital files. Though digital stuff didn't usually go wrong, he didn't like the idea that it still could and he'd loose everything. He put on a pair of glasses and started to write a description of the bird he'd seen the other day. He was able to pull up one of the pictures he had taken as a reference.
It seemed like this ship would be his new home for a while. Not too bad. Not too bad at all.
