The Legacy. An organization centuries old, that hides it's true purpose in philanthropic endeavors. Their true purpose is to help control the balance between the light and the dark. Finding tales of the supernatural and either proving them false or dealing with and putting to rest the rise of darkness. Houses all over the world work together in teams to keep the balance, to protect the innocent from the rising darkness.
Unfortunately, many of the Legacy even fall prey to the dark. San Francisco was a house headed by Derek Rayne. The Precept grew up a member of the Legacy and keeping the dark at bay. As with all things, it took it's toll and in an attempt to save his house, it's members, he destroyed it. The members watched as the house exploded and burned, their leader somewhere within it.
It's been three months, and life and light go on. The house will be rebuilt, an investigation underway, and still there are cases and people that need the help only the Legacy can provide. So things move on, with a few new people showing up to help, and old members of the house having to decide if they wish to continue.
Perhaps you wish to join the Legacy to help battle back the darkness or join the dark to stare down the light. Perhaps you are an innocent or a victim of the supernatural. There is no black and white anymore. No longer just the dark and light. Greys and shadows are everywhere.
