As she headed away from the spot she'd finally ditched Celyn, Crystal shifted back to human form feeling pretty happy about herself. The girl was out of the way and would soon be vampire food. It had been a fairly excellent plan, she thought to herself.
She wandered through the trees at a more leisurely pace now, pondering to herself how things would play out. Clearly, Terence would be thrilled to have the lousy little human rat off his ship. Maybe, just maybe, Crystal could take her place and join him in his travels.
Oooo, how romantic!

When Eli noticed the fox wandering by from his perch in a tree, he'd halfway debated going for it. It was small, but it was still a predator, so it would be tastier than some of the herbivores were. But, to his disappointment, the fox began shifting shape, and Eli was once again annoyed to realize he'd been keeping eye on another Were.
He turned to go the other way, only to suddenly realize that he recognized the girl now in human form. It was the slightly loopy one from the week before... the one who had dropped the padd with the contact information for Terence. She was a were who knew Lion Boy!
Eli swiftly hopped between a few branches, itching to get ahead of her quickly. Finally he dropped down to the ground in front of her. "Hey foxy, what's up?"

Crystal shrieked, jumping a little in the air when the pale boy dropped in front of her out of the blue. She grasped her chest, catching her breath. "Oh my gods, don't do that!!"
It took her brain a few moments to register that he was in fact a vampire, and suddenly her fright turned from surprise to genuine fear for her safety. She looked around frantically, trying to decide which way she might be able to run. She hadn't anticipated running into vampires before Celyn!
"...leave me alone!" she snapped.

Eli wondered if she had even noticed him the other day. She'd been far too preoccupied with jumping Panther Boy for information on Lion Boy. Had she even realized there was another person there? Probably not. Even if she had, there was no way she'd have recognized him. She'd been in a sort of one-track-mind state, it seemed.
"Oh, sorry, should I have called first?" Eli asked in response to her blind scolding. He smirked. "Oh wait, you can't take calls. You lost your padd..."

How does he know that?!? Crystal pondered at a frantic rate. Has he been spying on me? Suddenly she vaguely remembered Chase having been threatening someone before she'd jumped him the other day. Was this that person? She never really looked at him...
"Yeah," Crys admitted. She started backing away from him, worried. "What do you want?"

She looked a little bewildered. It didn't seem to Eli like she realized he was the one who now had the padd and had figured out how to unlock it (okay, Malcolm had helped a bit). That was okay, he thought. As long as it confirmed that she was in fact who he thought she was. Which... she was.
"I'm under the impression that you know a Terence Yorick..." Eli tried putting that out there, waiting to see her reaction. "You know... tall, handsome... smells like a cat..."

Terence? How did a vampire know Terence?? Or maybe... how did Terence know a vampire?? Well, he had been gone quite a long time. There must be a story there he hasn't told me yet...
"Oh yes! He is so handsome!" Crys couldn't help but beam at the description of her man. "So tall, so strong... and he's all mine! Well, now that I ditched his stupid human lady friend."

Yes, this was the one. Eli was satisfied with this discovery. Maybe he would snatch her right then and there and try to lure him out of the forest. He wanted Lion Boy back with the vampires so bad he was willing to put up with this silly lovestruck fox for a little while...
His eyes widened as he caught the second part of the girl's ramblings. Human?? His stomach grumbled a little in response. He grabbed the Were by her arms, holding her in place. "Explain Human lady friend. Now."

Crystal panicked a little more when the Vampire grabbed her. His make-up darkened eyes had intensified the minute she'd mentioned Celyn, and he was suddenly looking very interested in what Crys had to say. It threw her completely off guard, and at first she just stared at him in confusion. People generally didn't look at her so closely before. Come to think of it, they rarely looked at her at all.
When she finally snapped into a more coherent mind space, she did her best to babble out something of an explanation. "Uh... y-yeah... he brought some girl back to Nox with him. I-i tricked her into following me into the forest... and then left her... that way..." she did her best to point while his hands were still tightened around her biceps. "I was hoping... vampires could eat her..."
She was really hoping that would mean he would leave her alone now. He couldn't eat her because she knew Vampires got sick off Were blood, but she knew some of the Vampires still liked to kill Weres for fun. Hopefully now the human would excite him more than Crys would.

"You brought her right to us??" he couldn't help but grin widely. "Honey, you are officially my new favourite fox." He grabbed the back of her neck and planted a kiss on her lips, and then tore off in the direction she'd pointed.
The fox had hoped the vampires would eat the human girl. Maybe only a little, Eli thought as he hurried through the trees. But this girl suddenly had a lot more value to them than just her blood. This was their connection to getting Lion Boy back. If he would bring her back with him to his planet--one Humans tended to avoid at all costs--it had to mean something.
Eli only hoped that he could get to her before anyone else did. She wouldn't be much use to them dead.

The vampire looked thrilled that she'd brought them a human. Crystal felt pretty proud of herself at that moment, and she allowed herself to smile back at the guy. His favourite fox!! She wasn't anyone's favourite fox! Well, except Terence of course, because he was--
Her thought process was completely stalled when the vampire kissed her and then ran off. Crystal blinked in surprise. She wasn't quite sure whether to feel ill that a vampire had kissed her, or totally thrilled that someone had kissed her. Either way, she was alone again, she had accomplished her mission, and she'd become someone's favourite something. All in all it had been a fairly productive evening! Now she simply had to wander back home safely.
But first, she had to pause to throw up a little.
