((new thread, since I don't think the other has anywhere else to go))
The wood had been sufficiently weighed and thankfully not inspected by the spaceport workers who had helped them out. It hadn't been cheap, and Sol was a little bit worried that they were going to be low on funds without immediate work, but for the time being Cass was going to be safe and they could finally get moving.
He led the guys onto the ship with the crates and made sure to set his down carefully once more. As the other two followed suit, he quickly headed to the ship's control pad to shut the doors.
As the door finally closed shut, he turned back towards the crates. "Alright guys let's get her out of there, asap."

Relieved that everything went smoothly, Caden ran a hand through his hair after setting the crate down. Without a word, just a simple nod at Solomon, he started to pry the crates open. He started with the biggest to give the poor girl some better air. He could only imagine how stuffy and uncomfortable it would be.
Once getting the top off, he moved some of the larger pieces of wood that looked very uncomfortable from his view. "Hey'ya kid," He smirked as he pulled the blanket from her face.
"We'll get ya outta there in a sec.." He added and moved to pry open the other boxes. He figured it would be easier to get her out if she had her limbs, and hopefully they weren't too banged up from the trip.

Cass almost started crying from relief when the blanket finally came away and she saw that she was safely back on the ship, and that it was just Caden smiling down at her. She didn't cry though. Instead, she managed a bit of a smile, just so glad to have the worst of the wood off of her.
"thank you." She said, wiggling a little to get one arm-socket free. All she needed was one in, and then she could snap herself back together. Now, all she could do was cross her- well, that expression sure didn't work anymore- hope that her arms and legs were undamaged. As long as they had stayed well-wrapped, they'd be fine.

Thankfully, Booker had carried the crate safely. They didn't have any trouble with police which was good. When they got back to the ship, Booker carefully and slowly set the box down. Then he waited for Caden to open the box up to see if she was alright. He wiped the sweat off his forehead in relief.
Booker was happy to finally have that whole situation behind him. Even though this was the right thing to do for Cass, Booker still didn't like doing things under the law. It made him feel dirty. "Well that went good!" Booker optimistically stated.

Blaine was fiddling with wired and controls in the cockpit of Adeala. He had a srewdriver in one hand and a lettuce sandwich Olive had made. Over the time Olive was kind of getting on his nerves. Her constant happiness confused him. What was so joyful about flipping switches and buttons.
He heard the door close and then some new voices, which probably meant that they were back. He stopped what he was doing and finished his sandwich. He made his way over to the docking bay to see if everything had gone smoothly. everything seemed okay.
"Need help with anything?" Blaine was feeling like he hadn't done much in the past couple days so offering to help was the least he could do.

The sounds of a racket echoing through the ship meant only one thing: the guys were back. Olive promptly hurried from her room and down the hall to peek into the cargo bay. They were busy prying the lids off of three big crates. The biggest one was already open, and as Olive hopped excitedly down the stairs, she realized that was the one Cass was in.
"You guys are baaaaaack!" She grinned as she let her hooves hop onto the main floor of the cargo bay with a bit of a clatter, and then she hurried over to the box to say hi to Cass. She froze when she peeked in and realized Cass had no arms or legs, and she couldn't help but stare a little. "um... I think there's something no one told me..."

Caden moved to get the other boxes open quickly but carefully. The first box seems the blankets did a great job at not letting the wood puncture the synthetic skin, so hopefully nothing was damaged underneath. The second box wasn't too bad. Only the arm seemed to have a small amount of skin torn just on top of the wrist. Could have been worse though, it was a good thing the Denvers let them use some of those blankets.
He'd barely paid attention to Blaine when he came in until he asked about help. He turned to him and suggested, "Wanna bring me the legs when we need em?" That was possibly the weirdest sentence he'd ever muttered to another man, in his entire life.
He then proceeded to pull the arms out first as he knew those would most likely be appreciated more. It was weird but totally cool at the same time, carrying around mechanical limbs. He met up with Olive at the box where Cassandra was, she clearly wasn't informed that Cass could be taken apart at will. That would probably be an image stuck in the little faun's head for a while now. He couldn't help but make a small smirk, Sol was gonna have fun with this explanation.
He then leaned over to ask Cassandra, "How exactly does one secure these in properly?" He held up the arms and examined the socket section.

She gave Olive a nervous grin. This... was going to be interesting. There would probably be questions later, but hopefully not until Cass was back together. Or at least had her arms back in. Luckily, Caden had gone and gotten them, leaving her legs for Blaine to get.
Cass twisted, exposing the socket. It was a perfect match for the end of the arm, and the short silver spike jutting out of the place where inner-arm met the torso. It was a tough joint, rugged and made to stay put, but it was also covered in sensors, ready to transmit information to her brain as soon as it was inside of her. "just slide it in and twist it. it'll lock in automatically and adjust so it's at the right angle."

Blaine was confused by Caden's question until he finally noticed Cass. His eyes widened and he was taken aback. This was very weird, and if it was strange for him, imagine how strange it was for Olive.
He watched as Caden held up an arm. Blaine knew about the robotic limbs but it was even more off putting in person. A girl standing... sitting... laying there with no arms or legs. Nick had to shake his head. Caden wanted him to bring over her legs? He looked in one of the crates and there laying in a blanket among some wood was two legs. This was kind of disturbing. The fact that they were severed limbs but they had no blood coming out and they looked perfectly healthy as if they were on a living body. They were very convincing.
He awkwardly picked one up. They were surprisingly heavy. Nick just stared as it as he waited for Caden to insert Cass' arm.

Just slide and twist? That was it? No special measures to get it to stay, well that was awesomely simple. So he simply moved and slid one arm into it's socket and with a small twist he heard a click he assumed it was in and let go.
Before helping her with the other arm he pointed out the little bit of torn skin on the top of the wrist. "When I looked them over, this seemed to be the only little bit that was outwardly damaged." There shouldn't have been anything else wrong, but you can never be too sure. Especially with some of the intricate pieces to certain things.
He motioned for Blaine to bring the legs over, as he knew they'd need them soon.

Booker smiled as Blaine, then Olive came into the docking bay. "Blaine!" Booker shouted joyfully and gave him a massive hug. He held Nick up for about ten seconds. Then he set Blaine down and moved over to Olive. He hugged her too.
It was like a reunion. Where was Maggie and Reese? They should be here.
Then Booker remembered Cass and her robotic arms and legs. He didn't blame their reactions. It was a strange sight to see. Everyone who looked at her like this took a minute to let it sink in.

Blaine tried to back off as Booker yelled his name and tried to approach him. But his attempt at getting away was in vain. The massive Booker bear hug was inevitable. Blaine finally stopped moving back and let it happen. Better to just get it over with.
Suddenly he was lifted at least two feet off the floor. Even though it was only ten seconds, it felt like forever. Nick could hardly breath the whole time. Once he was set down he took a deep breath and said, "Dammit Booker, you've only been gone a couple of hours."
He shook it off and then just watched as Caden inserted the arm into it's socket on Cass' body. Technology nowadays was amazing. He noticed Caden's signal, so he brought over one of the surprisingly heavy legs.

The spike went into the socket, and Caden twisted, just like she'd told him to. The sensors rubbed against one another, and half a second later, the spike snapped outwards, securing itself into the grooves in Cassandra's socket. It wouldn't be coming out anytime soon, not unless Cass unsecured it the proper way. She moved her arm, flexing and running a quick sensory check. All good.
The torn skin sunk her heart a little. She'd just worked so hard on that... But hopefully it was still working. "I'll be able to tell if it's damaged better when it's in." She told Caden and offered him the socket. He plugged that one in, and like the other, it snapped into place. She flexed and checked that one too. Still good. Nothing seemed to be out of place, thankfully.
Blaine brought over a leg, the right one. Cass got her hands on the top of the container and pulled herself out of it, sitting on the floor. She gave Blaine a quick, nervous smile and took her leg from him, snapping it into place on her own. Better, much better. She wiggled her toes. All good on this end. One more leg to go and she wouldn't have to rely on them.
But... she would have to rely on them. Because these were the only people keeping her safe from Cain and other monsters like him. It was all an exercise in trust, only instead of catching her when she fell, they were protecting her from having to spend days without her limbs, instead of just a few hours.

After helping to get the crates open, Sol hung back, out of the way. Too many people trying to do the same thing would only cause more confusion. It was better if Caden, a proper mechanic, helped her with her re-assembly anyway. And he didn't want to admit it, but he was still feeling creeped out by the whole idea of anyone having to re-assemble themselves in the first place.
As he watched, he noted Olive's confusion as well as Blaine's, which reminded him that now they had a bit of explaining to do. Most, if not all, of the conversation at the Denvers had remained between those involved, and most of it would continue to be so, but there were a few matters that would need to be addressed. It would probably be up to Cass to decide what to tell them.
Sol's stomach growled a little, and he realized he hadn't eaten since quite early in the morning, and all the heavy lifting hadn't helped matters in the hunger department. Maybe they would have a sit down meal so everyone was altogether, and Cass could explain what she wanted to. And then, Sol decided, a mini meeting with her, and Olive, and... Sol glanced around the room, realizing Magdalen was yet nowhere to be found. The realization surprised him, considering how worried and invested she had been in the whole Cass situation. He would have assumed she'd have been the first to come running when they returned.
"Where's Magdalen?" he wondered out loud, to whoever was nearest.

Still reeling from her second run-in with Cain – although their most recent meeting had been admittedly more voluntary – Magdalen remained thoroughly distracted and therefore unaware of the group’s return. That is until the ruckus that followed as crates were opened reached her ears. At that point it didn’t take very long for the blonde to rendezvous with the others, appearing alongside Solomon just as he inquired as to whereabouts.
About to apologize for her delayed arrival, Magdalen’s eyes caught Cassandra who was almost finished reassembling herself. Immediately she broke out in a relieved smile and took a hesitant step forward.
“I’m so glad you’re safe and sound! Did everything pan out smoothly enough?”
