Justise walked down the halls, her steps sure as she passed many people that kept their gazes averted, and a few met her gaze challengingly. She sighed, not in the mood to get in a fight, but if anyone got too close to her, she'd strike them just to get them to leave her alone. She pushed her way into a bar and sat at the bar and glared at the bartender, until he got her usual. This bar was her favorite, and the bartender knew her, and she almost seemed to live there. Rubbing the bridge of her nose, she threw back a couple of shots of tequila before looking around the bar.
It wasn't very crowded, but it was still "light," basically meaning it was a time of day that the bar wasn't very active. She was usually found there anyway, because she had to keep her buzz to stay sane these days. When she was sober, Justise's mind spiraled into a darker part of her mind that didn't bode well for those around her, because it was when she was sober that she started to kill just to kill, not to protect herself. Someone that Justise didn't know walked through the door and headed straight towards her, or rather, to the bar that she was leaning against.

The very best part about owning your own store was that you could go for lunch whenever you felt like, and for however long you felt like. Of course, you couldn't stay out too long or you'd miss your customers, and when your customers tended to be burly and smelly and trigger-happy, denying them access to their precious ammo and explosives was a dumb idea. Anyway, Lealia liked to see people buying things from her. Not only did it mean she got money, but it also meant she got the wonderful satisfaction of knowing that somebody somewhere would be exploding thanks to her grenades.
Lealia headed into the bar, smile on her face. There was a pretty blonde girl there, and she looked like she was having a heck of a day. Lealia grabbed a seat beside her, flagging down the bartender. She was feeling upbeat today, so she went ahead and ordered the yellowest drink she could think of. "Lemon drop martini!"
The bartender fixed Lealia with the usual semi-annoyed look he gave. She knew he secretly liked making her drinks. After a day of pouring nothing but beer and hard liquor, at least her drink would give him something new and interesting to do.
The yellow drink was produced about a minute later and Lealia took a sip. Mmm, zingy. She slapped some creds down and took another look at the girl beside her. The girl looked vaguely familiar. Lealia had probably seen her around before, probably in the crowd or maybe at the bar. You noticed other women on the Underworld, mostly because it was rare to see them outside of the Painted Lady. Lealia decided to say hi, even though greeting people in the Underworld was usually a crapshoot. "Hi!"

Justise looked over and the redhead and sighed. "Hey," she answered back, not in the best of moods, but still willing to be sociable and not so violent as she usually is. Rubbing her forehead, she knocked back another tequila as she took in the profile of the woman beside her. She looked strong, and familiar. She searched her mind for the reason as to why she looked so familiar, and finally she placed it: she had seen this redhead while passing by the Weapon Emporium, wondering whether or not to get some new guns or any kind of thing like that. After knocking another shot of tequila, Justise held her hand out for Lelia is shake. "My name is Justise Synan, yours?" She introduced herself as she crossed her legs under the skirt she wore. She fixed her unneeded sunglasses in her hair after feeling them become askew, and waited for the woman beside her to respond, a bit impatient.

"Lealia Dappen! I own the Weapon's Emporium!" Lealia shook the girl's hand, giving her a friendly grin. The name wasn't too familiar, probably because she wasn't a regular customer or one of the bounty hunters that Lealia followed religiously. Everybody else just kinda faded into the background.
She took another sip of her drink. Mmm, good lunch. Justise was drinking tequila kinda early in the afternoon (though, really, this was the Underworld, it was never too early to get into the really hard stuff). The girl could really hold her liquor, and Lealia was kinda impressed. "What's got you pounding shots at this time of the day?"

"Just trying to keep sane in this crazy place. Yeah, I've been by the Weapon's Emporium a few times, just to browse and not really heavy stuff, blades amuse me more, need more technique then a pull of a trigger," Justise shrugged as she looked down at the shot of tequila that was in her hand before looking up at Lealia's drink. Something about it made her suddenly want something more fruity, and less straight forward as shots of tequila.
"Apple martini please and thank you," Justise said before turning back to Lealia, a small smile gracing her lips. "Your drink made me want something more fruity, I guess," she laughed as she leaned back, balanced precariously on the edge of the stool as her eyes flickered across the room once again, looking for any kind of threat that might be lurking in the corners of the room, or the anyone that might have walked in while she was distracted by the owner of the Weapon's Emporium. After seeing that there wasn't any, she sat back into a more comfortable position and looked at the redhead.

"You're a knife girl? I can see that!" Justise did look like she'd rather do things up close, make sure she dealt with person personally instead of standing back. "I don't carry a lot of bladed stuff. John up on the third leg does really good metal work, so I don't even bother to compete. I like explosions, and I'm good at explosions, so I stick with anything that makes a boom or a bang!"
Lealia happily toasted Justise with her own fruity drink, "Hard stuff can be fun, but I like things with a little colour to them! Life's too short to drink boring drinks!" She finished her yellow drink and motioned to the bartender to refill her. "And it keeps people from stealing them! Nobody else wants to be caught dead drinking something bright green, or pink!"

"Yeah, I know John better, he tends to be the person I go to for my metal," Justise said as she nodded and smiled a rare smile to the bartender as he handed her the drink, before sipping it, the smile becoming a bit wider at the pang of taste of apple and liquor on her tongue. She sighed, and licked her lips before looking back at Lealia. "I know I wouldn't be caught dead with your lemon drop martini," she laughed good heartedly. The unfamiliar sound stopped when it reached her ears, and she looked at her companion almost suspiciously. "You're pulling emotions out of me that I'm not familiar with... must be your personality, since its so different from others that live here," Justise shrugged and sipped again.
"After you play with knives for long enough, you start to learn the oh so many places to hide knives, its ridiculous. How many knives do you think I have on me right now?" Justise asked, the smile on her face had shrunk, but was still present. When she made allies in the Underworld, she always liked to ask them to see if they could guess the right number. She could feel the well hidden knife sheaths around her upper thighs that were hidden by her skirt, and the small ones in her heels, and the last ones that were around her waist under the cloth of both skirt and shirt.

Lealia beamed at the giggle and the following suspicious look, "Sorry, I bring that out in people! My good mood is infectious, like all the best diseases!" People had no choice but to perk up when they were around Lealia. Well, that, or grow a strong and uncontrollable loathing that made them want to stab her in the face. Of course, nobody would do that, or at least nobody who didn't want to get shot by every other person in a twenty-foot radius.
It wasn't so much that people like Lealia as it was that they were kinda terrified of the rumour that Lealia had a nuke in her shop hooked up to a sensor that kept track of her heartbeat. If Lealia suddenly died, kerboom! Or so the rumour went. Lealia neither confirmed nor denied it. After all, a girl had to have some secrets. Life was no good if everybody knew everything about you.
"Oh! I'll give it my best shot!" Lealia set her drink aside and looked at Justise, tapping her index figure on her lower lip as she thought. Let's see. What sort of knife person was Justise: stabbing, throwing, gutting, or decorative? Scratch decorative, or they'd be right out in the open. Probably stabbing and throwing, for a nice balance of long-distance and up-close combat. So that meant some on her thighs, and a couple on her body somewhere. She wasn't wearing long sleeves, so that meant wrist-knives were out. So, two on her torso plus probably six small throwing knives on each thigh- "Fourteen!"
But wait, her shoes. Justise looked like the sort of person who fought with her feet too, and what better way to get in a good blow than add a spring-loaded knife to the underside of your shoes. "Wait! No, sixteen? Yeah, I'm going with sixteen!"

Justise raised an eyebrow at Lealia before laughing; "You've almost got it, 17 total actually. The last one is in a hidden sheath I sewed in myself," she said as she patted the top of her shirt that, in the padding, didn't have a single abnormality, "took me a long time to get it just right, but once I got it right once, I was able to copy it to all of my shirts." She recrossed her legs as she took a drink from the apple martini that sat in front of her, letting her skirt slip a little so there was a small flash of crimson leather that made up the sheath.
"You've got a good eye for weapon amount Lealia... natural talent? Or do you make a hobby to see if you can guess the right amount to practice?" She asked, looking at Lealia with a small smile on her face. She brushed her hair back and took another drink, happy for the strong buzz that she was getting. It just wouldn't be good to be sober around someone like this, since Justise tended to snap at people like Lealia.

Seventeen? Lealia felt pleased for getting within a knife, especially since knives weren't her speciality. "That's real tidy construction! I can't even tell it's there, even though I know it's there now!" The best weapons were ones you couldn't see, even when you were sure they were there. Justise knew what she was doing when it came to hiding knives, and showing just enough to distract you from the others.
"Second option! I always like to see what people are carrying! It's good business to know what people are buying and packing!" Lealia confessed to Justise, finishing off her second lemon drop and setting the glass to the side. Two drinks were enough for the moment. Lealia would give her body a moment or two to start processing before she had another. "I'm not so good with knives, but I can spot a gun from a mile away, not to mention explosives! I'm a natural when it comes to them!"
Lealia perked up as she realized that maybe Justise was a new bounty hunter. It had been a while since there was a new girl, and considering how many knives Justise was carrying, it was possible! Of course, it could just be for self-defence, since there was no such thing as overkill on the Underworld, only just-enough-kill. "Are the knives just for self-defence, or do you do bounties?"
