From an early age, Unwin learned to use his charm and keen intelligence to con people. His lifestyle has left him with obvious trust issues, but he's always willing to strike a deal, assuming he'll be reaping most of the benefits. He's got a bit of a superiority complex, and a desire to not just think he's better than most humans, but to actually be better through bioengineering.
He's managed to genetically alter his body, leading to half of it looking much more mutated than the other.
