Huge yawn escaped her mouth leaving her jaws completely opened for one second too long, which was enough for the reflex head shake to follow previous action accordingly. Her prey’s head raised and looked straight toward bushes in which you could never tell something was hiding. But her head shake alarmed the animal for long enough for it to run away in unknown direction, not that it was of a matter anyway, especially because she was far too lazy to follow it. Hunting could wait for a while, her mood wasn’t at its peak this early in the morning, plus she didn’t come so high up the mountain so she could hunt for breakfast… Her eyes raised toward the sky filled with stars, those far lights smiling so evilly toward her, but it was almost time and Selena knew she had to hurry if she was to make it in time to the very top of a mountain. Her body lazily moved itself from the cold ground, sleeping was sometimes a necessity she had to admit was needed, but right now it was only a burden. The thick forest bushes hid the old path well known to her senses, it was one of those things you learn as a child and then through life always use without even noticing that fact. It was probably the bad thing, too predictable and if anyone knew for it she could be an easy prey herself. Selena didn’t like that, hunter becoming hunted was never fun.
Why am I worried about that? There shouldn’t be much possibility of being attacked by anyone this early in the morning….. Still the feeling of discomfort stayed somewhere in the back of her head. Selena was not very well known of being person who would concern herself over such unimportant matter as her own safety was, which was why she was bothered right then. The idea of this path being something predictable for her was discomforting, she liked to be unpredictable, to run through forest without reallly caring whether or not she knew where she was, but this path was something different. Still she was bothered over that way too much, so it was time to put that worry somewhere back in her mind and actually think about something important. For instance timing was highly important right now, if she was too slow or stopped before reaching the peak then she would miss it. Missing it wouldn’t be good, it would make her angry and displeased for days… .She didn’t want to miss it.
Scent of some nice meaty animals roaming near by caught itself on her nostrils, one of the animals was hurt and its blood was spilling itself in some water near by. The lot was probably crossing one of the near by streams while one of its members got caught in bushes or something like that. The animal’s smell was carried so easily through the wind, it was slowly taking over all of her senses, but Selena kept herself in check. Time was crucial if she was to go now and hunt for this animal she was bound to be late…. Yet all that thinking and not being on alert for any kind of trouble was bound to not end well, after all her mind was too caught up with scent of blood then with idea of what was going on around her.

Eli licked his lips in excited amusement, watching the black cat sneak through the forest below his perch up in the tree. She was far too entranced by the smell of her prey and it's blood to even notice his scent.
He'd been on his way home after a somewhat decent hunt when he'd realized he was on a much-used Were hunting path. Perfect for spying on them. When he'd caught a glimpse of the small herd of deer by a small slow moving stream, he knew he had hit the jackpot.
He'd managed to take down one of the deer, getting his fill of blood before dropping it near the water, letting the blood run and spread it's scent. He knew it would only be a matter of time before a predator Were would be by, so he found a hiding spot in a tree and waited. He didn't really have a plan after that... he was just really bored as of late, and maybe playing with a Were would relieve some of that, he figured.

The dark feline shook a bit letting the near dawn cold sweep across her elegant silky fur, leaving nothing but a feeling of freshness and pressing dream like state. Her jaw separated few times letting out a sound similar to mumbling while her mind fought harshly against the strong scent of blood and her stomach weak rumbling. The hunger wasn’t strong but the wounded prey always brought forth something rather animalistic in her. With the strong willed grunt Selena moved her nose from the pathway of wind which was bringing the sweet nuzzling toward her nostrils. She was well aware that if she was to stay like this temptation would only continue, and she would just keep fighting against it over and over again. This won’t do…. It will take longer, but it will make everything easier…” the thought slipped through her mind and the animal moved toward nearest tree, she pushed herself up on her back feet completely leaning on tree with front paws. It wasn’t a long process nor it was especially painful, but it wasn’t nice to be watched that was for sure.
Selena opened her eyes watching her front paws stretching themselves right in front of her eyes as the silky fur retreated leaving nothing but smooth skin, five long fingers and long strong nails. She gave out a small sigh; her fingers ran quickly pushing away strands of black hair which was covering her face. The scent was still there, but it was fainter, no more so unpleasant nor bothering. Selena chuckled a bit and leaned more against the tree, being in animalistic form was somewhat bothersome, but pleasant as well. It was in her blood, but walking on her two feet was always much better, it was more natural as well… Sometimes. Her shoulders shrugged a bit, it was also colder without fur. “Well I better hurry then,” Selena spoke to herself and started down the pathway toward the peak, it was harder to walk with bear feet, but she will get up there one way or the other. She was unaware that she was being watched even a bit… Then again, that was Selena she was unaware of half of facts in her life.

She certainly had to have been distracted to not notice him, he thought. Not when he was so close to her now. Normally he would have been noticed. Well, the wolves would have. But they were usually in packs, so there were more than one nose sniffing about. There had to have been something else on this cat's mind.
He watched her with interest as she shifted to her other form, a process that always intrigued him. He was once one Human form. Now he was another, not much different in appearance than the first. And there was no going back. He was a vampire forever. But Weres were constantly shifting, back and forth. He couldn't help but wonder if they had serious personality complexes because of it.
Eli was relieved when she turned out to be quite the beautiful one once she stopped shifting. Ugly ones weren't quite as fun as the pretty ones. Definitely not as titillating. He scanned her body as she leaned against the tree not far from the one he was hiding in. She was shapely, perfect. He licked his lips, dreaming of digging his fangs into her smooth neck, gripping a branch tightly in anger that he knew he never could. Damn Weres and their blood....
As she moved on, heading along the path, he let himself drop down from the tree as silently as possible, and crept after her. One had to be careful with the predator weres... they had no problem attacking back, and had the power to do so. But that was what made the challenge of playing with them oh so exciting. Eli reveled in challenging prey.

It wasn't the scent thatgave away the other predator nor it were some special Selena's instinct that made her notice she was being watched. About his killing intent we shouldn’t talk, Selena could actually sense those.... Once in light year when she was aware other people had intents lilke that toward her. The sound of branch slowly starting to break under his fingers while he held it was actually teh real reason why Selena suddenly felt strange tickling along her spine line. She didn’t change the way she was moving, nor she tried to sniff the air for possible threat. Word ’possible’ was far to unrealistic in her world, there were no possibilities, anyone strong enough to make wood crack was the threat one way or the other. She knew that maybe, which was really hard to happen, someone from wolf clan was having his fun making her nervous, but she would have smelled them miles away. Cats never liked dogs, even though they were great in working together teh animalistic sides never got along, they were just too diffrent. That scratched only ’maybe’ Selena could think of, humans weren’t so stupid to come so deep into the forest without someone from were clans around them.
So, I got company... she thought while continuing to push forward, she had a destination to reach and not really a lot time to play around, if her watcher had so much time he could come along. Selena liked play mates, they were fun and competitive, especially when they were vampires. She wasn;t especially angry because she was being followed, that had to happen from time to time, bvut she was a bit annoyed because it had to happen tonight, her face raised toward the sky once again noticing that dawn was still far from appearing. Maybe she could have some of her own painless fun with this unusual stalker, Selena liked that idea especially if whole thing finnished with her putting her paw right through the blood suckers heart. One rather sweet smile formed on the lips of female, giving out rather radiant feeling of happiness andalmost childish satisfaction, like a eaight year old being given back its most favorite toy in the world. Most interesting fact was that the sound of branch breaking wasn’t followed at first until a small pat aginst a ground didn’t warn Selena that something moved. Now that was even more interesting, who ever it was the person wantwed to follow her or probably sneak away from her. She couldn’t really decide which one was better, but instead of running straight at the person Selena grabbed for one of the low branches of nearest tree and went up, her strangely strong hands pulling her up easily.
Trees were much faster then ground, especially in her current form, they could give her a bit of advantage because branches made line of sight a bit problematic. In that way she would have soem disadvantages herself, but who ever was watching her would have as much. Also if he was loud enough, taking that she wasn’t trying to be silent, Selena could see where her stalker was at some point, right then it she couldn’t really put her finger on him or her yet.

Chase had been out and about and had picked up a faint smell of blood near the river. It was early, yes, but He had a weird sleeping schedule any way. Interested in the source, he lowered himself closer to the ground and allowed himself to slowly change. A black coat covered his skin and once done he slowly followed the river. He kept an eye on his surroundings in case it was possibly a trap. Staying low he spotted the source, a deer laying at the edge of the water. He examined it and made a low growl. Vampire.
He studied the trees and sniffed the air a bit. Any lingering scent was faint and difficult pinpoint. As he had kept moving he stretched up, dug his claws into a nearby tree and pulled himself up. He found a stable branch to crouch on and he scanned the trees and the ground before he allowed himself to loose the fur. The bark of the tree was a little rougher on the human skin, but he was pretty used to the feeling by now.
He soon caught the scent of another were along with the vampire, which must be why the vampire was still around. Probably looking for a little fun, though he could be wrong. He kept an eye out to see if anything was going to happen.

Eli crouched low, creeping as quietly as he could after the girl. Most of the hunters would have probably picked up on him now. He could smell her, or rather, her blood, and while vampire senses were certainly more tuned than a human's, they certainly couldn't compare to most of the predator Weres. She was either really clueless, or she was fully aware of his presence and was toying with him.
Hmmm, he watched her suddenly disappear up into the branches of a nearby tree, and his lips curled into a smirk. Oh, she definitely knew he was there. He had to act quickly, lest the tables be turned on him. He quickly reached for the nearest tree, pulling himself back up into the branches to hide once more. He wasn't interested in being the mouse to her cat.
He paused immediately, sniffing the air as he picked up a new scent he hadn't noticed before. And then he froze, turning as well as he could on the branch, only to come face to face with someone else much more male. With really big eyebrows.
"AHH!" he let out a shriek, losing his grip in his surprise and tumbling out of the tree.

And all of sudden where once was one; there were two out of nowhere. The vampire’s scent was strong because Selena was keeping her nose on it, his movement was always somewhere just on the line on being unheard, but the second scent came in rather surprisingly for her. She couldn’t read the movements of the other scent, but strong aroma of another were was more then noticeable, a male were by that fact. Selena couldn’t but stop for a second and wait for a bit while her intrigued mind started pondering what to do now. The other were must have picked up the scent of the vampire already and was probably somewhere near taking that even Selena, who was pretty much uninterested in noticing others, could figure out he was near. Why would another were be out and about so early in the morning? That fact was a bit unsettling, not because she was in possible danger, but more because there was someone else there who could pick up her prey and kill it before she had a chance. "AHH!" Dang! Selena cursed in her mind as scream broke lose, it wasn’t strong, but someone crashing from the tree was loud enough for anyone to hear, especially in this forest.
The female found herself facing two choices; she could or go up the hill and continue what she was doing or go and claim her prey first. Going up the hill was great idea, she could finish what she wanted from the start, but everything was starting to be so much more fun now and she couldn’t but wonder who the other were was. Selena liked going out and everything, but other weres weren’t big fans of those things so she couldn’t meet a lot of them. Most of time she met humans, and except from weres in her clan she didn’t know many others. This was good chance to actually meet someone new, maybe he was friendly.... The girl was still sitting on her branch and pondering about everything when she figured that she wouldn’t be able to do much if she stayed like that for too long. The guy could kill the vampire and that would be the end of it... Hell like she was going to let that happen, she wanted to kill the stalker!
Selena got herself up and then soundlessly jumped from branch to branch toward the tree from which the scream and tumbling came. She on purpose went higher up the tree so she could have good view on everything below. Sitting herself on one of the branches from where she could see both the other were and vampire on the ground, Selena gave a loud sigh while looking the vampire who crashed from the tree. In some respect she was still hoping he was alive, because if he wasn’t that would just be waste of time. He was stalking her and then died such stupid death, definitely not a way to go.
„Now that just isn’t fun any more, “she said and in her voice you could so easily read disappointment. Small smile formed for the were who was standing on the branch under her and waved in friendly manner. „Good morning. “

He had been watching and spotted the Vampire, clearly it didn't pick up on him because the stupid creature climbed right up in front of him. He tried to refrain from laughing. It turned around and let out a shriek, Chase didn't even have to do anything, all he did was smirk and the vampire seemed to tumble out of the tree. He finally gave in and let out a laugh.
He looked up and saw the female were standing above him in the tree. "Good morning," He smiled in reply. He didn't find anything weird with the situation, he actually found it quite amusing. "In case you're wondering, I didn't even touch the thing. It was stupid enough to climb up here and startled himself." He laughed again. That was quite surprising, usually the vampires were more aware of their surroundings.

He would definitely be sore for a few days with that fall, he thought, rubbing his backside and wincing as he pulled himself into a sitting position. He cursed himself for not paying better attention. There he'd been thinking about how much the female hadn't been paying attention, when it was he who had made the biggest mistake.
He cracked his neck and then glanced up into the tree, finally getting a better look at the new Were. Tall, dark, and handsome. And ominous. Hot. This one had also smelled like a cat, in the fleeting moments that Eli had sensed him before falling. Two cats. One Vampire. Three predators.
Well great, I'm dead.

Selena shifted her head from one side to the other while watching the vampire on the ground and then showed one wide toothy smile, you could almost sense how sharp her teeth were even in human form. "You don't know how to speak or just not interested in saying good morning to us, vampire?" she said with excitement in her voice, partially Selena was mostly hit by adrenaline because he was following her around. Who gave him the right to follow her around? And for what reason anyway, it wasn't like she was hunting vampires tonight... Well if she was, she would have noticed hi m probably from the start, that was something Selena needed to think more about once she was alone and with her own thoughts. She jumped from her branch on one of the lower ones which was nearer to the ground and watched the vampire with a lot of interest. She didn't have a lot time to study vampires usually, they were mostly already dead when she had to take care of them, firts one ever to be alive and still moving in her surrounding.... Selena sniffed a bit looking like a kitten trying to distinguish a scent of prey from scent of food.
He didn't smell so good at all, blood and death were surrounding him and that was it, nothing interesting about him. The female looked toward the other were with a smile. "You do whatever you want with him, I need to go soon anyway. He was following me and I thought it would be interesting to pull him around, but it seems it will dawn soon..." For few seconds she thought about what she was saying and then looked back toward the vampire on the ground. "What are you doing so deep in the woods so close to the morning anyway? You crazy or something?" Selena forgot to say that she wasn't supposed to leave the clan surroundings so early in the morning either, she was still too young to go out just like that. Then again she never thought that way and always tried to sneak away from older felines in the clan.

"Can't say I'm much of a morning person," he shot back at her. It was true, though. He'd wasted a lot of time following her around and the sun would be rising soon. He would need to hurry if he was going to make it back before the twilight of day hit. If he was going to even get back at all, that is.
So, she was passing him off to the male. Well, he could handle that. Maybe. As long as the Were number was cut in half, maybe he'd have a chance. He'd just have to be sneaky about it. Slowly he began to pull himself to his feet, knowing not to make any sudden movements that would have them leaping on him in seconds.
"What are you doing so deep in the woods so close to the morning anyway? You crazy or something?" she asked him.
He just smiled coyly. "Oh, just looking for a playmate." He shifted his glance towards the male. "Or two..."

Here he was thinking she'd want to take care of the vampire herself but when she practically handed the option over to him he couldn't help but smirk. "Will do," a few options of what he could do had popped into his head and he was trying to fish out the one that would be most entertaining. He looked back at the female when she had asked the vampire why he was out. It was a good question, and come to think of it why was she out? Chase was out mostly because he had a thing for breaking rules and liked to whatever he wanted.
He listened to the boy and raised an eyebrow, "Playmate huh?" Well, if he wanted to play Chase was more than willing to stick around and push him around. Perhaps keep him pinned until the sun rose and let that deal with the rest. There were so many options to be had. "Then a playmate you shall get," He grinned and stretched out letting himself change into his animal side. The large black furred Jaguar flashed the boy a nice set of sharp teeth.

Selena chuckled on vampire's response, well that was something she couldn't really expect him to say all of a sudden, and it so wasn't fair... It was practical invitation to stay out here so early in the morning, and the other were instantly accepted it. Unfortunately Selena really didn't have time to stay here until sunrise, so instead of staying with them and having her fun with vampire she knew she had to hurry before everyone noticed she sneaked out and ran into the woods. The girl jumped of the branch turning into her dark leopard form. Her spine sleekly bend as her front paws met the ground just few inches from where the vampire's head once was. Her jaws opened up snowing nice line of razor sharp teeth and then snapped before reaching his skin. "Well I guess you found yourself one playmate for sure.."
She made sure never to turn her back to vampire as she looked toward the other were while pulling away from both him and the enemy. Selena was reckless, but she wasn't crazy to ignore threat like vampire was. "I guess I will see you around. Any way to know your name before I leave?"

Intimidation was the way to go in a situation like this. Size and strength wasn't really a problem, it was usually just the speed that the Vampires moved at that was somewhat difficult to keep up with.
"The names Chase," He replied before hopping down to the Vampire's level. He kept his eyes locked on him. Time for some fun. He didn't think originally that following the scent of a dead deer would lead him to this. But he was fine with it, hell more than fine. It was great. He made a low growl for a laugh and slowly crept forward.
